I think they can run on 87. But you are the spark plugs. I had no idea about oil getting dirtier quicker.
You are right. My apologies. I thought you were talking about 4 cylinders turbos in general. The same 2.4T is used in the Highlander and doesn't require premium. But does in the Crown

How true is it that turbos are harder to repair? I'd imagine its a component thats easily accecessable and replaced.

Also repair of turbo is usually not replacement, it is very expensive, it is rebuilding all the gaskets, etc, that specialized shops do. Basically you dont do this at dealer if you dont want to be robbed.

If its a repair ballpark $500 at a independent shop aint that bad. I'll have to look into this more and get back to you. I bought a book on turbos/superchargers that looked interesting lol.
