Not really ready for electric. Also not ready for a 4cy Turbo either.

Haha it does save a bit of gas and can give you V6 performance. Not sure about reliability though.

I will never be ready for a 4 cylinder turbo that attempts to replace a larger engine.

Also the oil gets dirty quicker. Spark plugs have to be changed every 40,000 for emissions warranty.. Cannot run 87 octane fuel. Turbo's more expensive to repair. Etc.

I think they can run on 87. But you are the spark plugs. I had no idea about oil getting dirtier quicker.

How true is it that turbos are harder to repair? I'd imagine its a component thats easily accecessable and replaced.

as supposed to no turbo?

How would that work really?

Also repair of turbo is usually not replacement, it is very expensive, it is rebuilding all the gaskets, etc, that specialized shops do. Basically you dont do this at dealer if you dont want to be robbed.

If its a repair ballpark $500 at a independent shop aint that bad. I'll have to look into this more and get back to you. I bought a book on turbos/superchargers that looked interesting lol.

Saw the new RX a couple of times again in person. Doesn't look that good lol. Looks like a shark.
