If its a micro SD card based navi system, then yes. Just buy a card from the dealer and swap the old one out.

After using this system for over 5 years, I definitely need an update so it doesn't look like I driving through fields on highways 404 or 26.
I think in hindsight, I prefer Garmin systems and will not buy another Lexus with navigation.

If it has an SD card, there will be a foldable door somewhere in the center dash that will simply flip down and you should see the card right there in the middle.
When talking bang for buck, Garmin (or the like) are a better way to go.
Initial cost is low, and updates are usually free for a lifetime.
However, with the car Navi system, it's usually packaged with other items, so to get those other items you have to take the Navi.
Any navi update is usually around $200 plus tax...and the SD card you can install yourself.
To update the factory Navi every 4-5 years wouldn't be too cost prohibitive, but definitely I wouldn't be doing it every year.

The 2014 Lexus 300 Esh does not have Micro in the dash. In its place there is a DVD holder. When wanting to update it asks to insert DVD update or USB drive .

I checked with my local dealer a couple of years ago and they wanted over $800 CAD to update the maps.
