Default New to forum... Hello and help

Hello,

Nice to meet you all. I'm new to the forum and thank you all in advance for your help.

I've just moved back to Vancouver and need to find parts and a good body shop for my '06 is250. I need a front bumper assembly and am willing to buy used, but can't find any wreckers that wreck the car. Does anyone know any local wreckers that wreck Lexus? If not, does anyone know where I can find parts for a good price?

I'll also need a good body shop that won't break the bank. The shop can be from Langley to Vancouver and everywhere in between. I am hoping to find a starfire white bumber cover, but if I can't find one, I'll need a shop that does great paint work.

I've searched the forums here and found some posts from 2007, so am hoping for more up to date information.

Thank you all again in advance for your help.

mike.

You can try searching the IS classifieds. It'll most likely be coming from the US but it still may end up being cheaper than purchasing one locally.
As for looking locally, whenever I need a part I just call all the wreckers that come up on my iphones maps app and ask if they have parts for my car. Dont think theres any Lexus specific wrecker locally though..

Thanks scENFORCER. I had checked out the classifieds, but didn't realize there were is specific classifieds. I will look there. I've seen some stuff on ebay, but I don't know if I want that risk of receiving non OEM parts.

As for the wreckers, they've been no help as of yet, and they all seem to not be able to recommend another wrecking yard to call.

Thanks again!

Well, I gave up looking for parts since they all seem to be in the states (as scENFORNCER predicted) and no one wants to ship to Canada. Understandable. I'm looking for big and/or heavy stuff. So the car's in the shop getting new OEM parts and I will keep you all posted on how it comes out. Although the recommendations on this forum sound great, I've got my car out in Langley since it's a family recommended and trusted shop. I'll let you all know how it works out so the people on this forum that are out in the valley have more options than Vancouver or Richmond.

^ you can check out http://is.sewellparts.com/ (make an account there to get a discount on there products) Great place for OEM stuff and other parts., but you may get charged customs.. I always use fedex ( cheaper shipping option) and so far have not got charged/billed any customs. (I brought the full gfx kit for my IS from them, and no customs) however by buddy got charged customs for ordering the F-sport Exhaust.. Guess it is hit or miss with customs/depends on your order
