Default RIV Recall Letter?

How difficult is it to get one? I am in the process of buying a SC430 from California and I'm going to need one. From what I read it has to come from Lexus USA, and they will only give it to you if you have a USA address. Is this correct?

To answer my own question I just called the 1-800 number and they are sending me the recall letter. It sounded like they would mail it to Canada but the computer didn't want to take my Postal Code. They just mailed it to my USA address. It didn't cost me anything either.

Ya some car companies are a PITA to get recall letters from. Thankfully Lexus is usually pretty good with it..

Some companies are difficult, but if you look into RIV and actually check w/ them.

Sometimes they'll accept a print out online of your cars recall status.
