vancouver, what is going on?

ok i know i've been at home for a whole week ... but WHAT IS UP WITH THE HIGHWAY!!!???

why are the lanes narrower? & the HOV lane is now rite against the median ... this has got to be one of the dumbest things i've ever seen ... people go fast on highways, narrower lanes = more accedents (or generally more people being unable to drive properly, which is DEFINITELY worse)

i'm guessing they're trying to put in more lanes with the same size highways???

I have not seen this...as long as the road is smooth it's all good

i recall hearing somewhere that it has to do with prep for maintenance on port mann or sth like that... it doesn't make much sense i know but that's all i got
