I am curious as to how the Canadians on this board purchased their SC? Did you:

1. Buy locally?
2. Ship the car from the US?
3. Buy the car in the US and drive it back?
4. Buy a Soarer import?

I'm in Nova Scotia so the buy locally option is very limited since it is a rare car around here. I'm interested in hearing your experience on how you bought yours? Thanks.

Bought my '97 SC in Derby, Vermont. Had it shipped to Seattle. Then drove it across. The purchase experience was fine but the shipping company wasn't very good. Although it arrived in perfect condition...it was really late. The importation and insurance process was a bit tedious. It was still well worth it and I'm very happy with the car.

I'm from Montreal. Bought Locally. You forgot to put the option: Bought in another province. You can find some in Quebec which is not far from Nova Scotia.

Bought an SC400 locally.

I wanted a Soarer, but all the local ones I found were not in the condition I was looking for.

Found mine locally (sort of). I'm in Surrey, the car was on a lot in New Westminster. It looked like it was sitting there for quite awhile, needing air in the tires and a battery boost, but was otherwise quite clean and presentable. The car has always been in BC.

I flew all the way down to Phoenix to buy my '99. The car is flawless. Drove it back and imported it without any problems. The drive was nice (1 1/2 days). I'd consider selling it for the right price if your looking for a newer one..
