The struggle is real. I measured this garage out way too many times before putting it in.

Her car weighs about 1k more than both of mine, so it was a good test. I’d love to replace her car with a Toyota product, so I figured it was a win win. If it holds, great! If it fails, crap… but great!

That actually doesn't look too bad, how high is your garage ceiling?

Jwconeil 11-12-21 12:41 PM

9’ 1”. The lift is 9’ 3”. I really thought it was too low, but after discovering the trick creepers, I’m happy with the height. The creepers are way cheaper than vaulting a ceiling.

I insisted on at least 11' ceiling height to accomodate a lift. Mine is 11' 2"...

You would be good to go, you could potentially even stand under that.

Time for some much needed love.

Pulled out the sensor that was throwing codes. It doesn’t appear to be oem. I had ordered an oem one at autozone. I should have known better and checked the part numbers.

New sensor from rock auto says Denzo right on the side of it. Hopefully I won’t have any CELs now.

The car got some fresh oil as well, and an ECU reset. I’ll drive it a bit when the weather breaks, and then top off the transmission fluid. I’d like to let it retune itself before I leave it running in place on the lift, as it’s running pig rich after an ECU reset.

Time to get it cleaned up after sitting for a long, dusty winter.
