Hey anyone know if the body harness plugs are different between the 92-2000 models?

Planning to purchase an extra harness for the body plugs so I can have a harness built for my GTE VVT-I. I understand the wiring may be different and that doesn't matter as it will be fully de-pinned and only the plugs will be used.

The EGR VSV can also go bad after a very long time and that can trigger the Code 71 too. Or the vacuum hoses that connect to any of these parts can get old and need replacing (often with Gates #27042 vacuum hose).

I'm also no stranger to a faulty ECM that needs re-capping repair. Sorting out these issues can be a time consuming step by step process of elimination.
I did not change the EGR temp sensor, only swapped out the egr valves with used oem ones. Those EGR Valves may have actually been good but the ECM thought they were bad, I dont know, I still have them laying around if anyone needs one, im in the bay area. The 3rd valve that ended up working when I changed the ECM was from the same car the ECM came from.

I don't even think I want to deal with EGR because I have no emissions here although thats' a great offer for anyone needing one.

So I found a mk3 supra turbo R154 drive shaft for $100 locally going to pick it up Sunday; I also see that I have the correct transmission mount to fit the stock crossmember; Hopefully my engine mounts will work (98 vvt-i supra mounts). Lamp failure box arrived #89373-24150 brown so we will see if everything works here shortly, Probably going to install these in the morning.

Other thing I am curious about I need to research, does a mk4 supra radiator fit in the SC? Thats what I am currently running in my GS it would make one more thing easier to do when I swap it.

Lastly, I contacted the guy who runs ImportArchive and got him to update the available colors to include the Baltic Blue. Makes me feel a little better inside now. Haha

Yes, a mk4 radiator will fit with very slight modification.

Thanks! I see PHR makes the upper mounts which is real sweet. Looks like I'll be able to use my new radiator when I do the swap then. Exciting that so many aftermarket parts are available, I already really want the PHR E-85 fuel system upgrade (their fuel pump hanger looks great!) along with the oil breather catch can.

Anyways, went to Toyota and got my parts. Ended up ordering a TRD strut bar too because who can beat a brand new price of 147 bucks! Waiting on EGR block off still.

Ended up with:

- SK16R11 spark plugs (90080-91184) X6
- Valve cover gaskets (11214-46011 & 11213-46020)
- Valve cover grommets (90210-07001) X16
- PCV Valve Grommet (90480-18001)
- PCV Valve (12204-46030)
- Air filter - (17801-07020)
- Distributor O-Ring (90099-14109)
- Distributor cap (19101-70020)
- Distributor rotor (19102-46011
- Y-pipe Inlet Connector Gasket -(17849-46020)
- Oil filter (90915-YZZD1)
- TRD strut brace (PTR04-14930-07)

Tried installing my 97+ tail lights this morning to find out the inner mounting holes need to be drilled out. Easily 1/4" + off

Couldn't help myself and just ordered some HKS hipermax IV GT coilovers (80230-AT010). Price was 1220 shipped which just seems insanely low for a good set of coilovers right now. PBM's are 1350 and KW v3's are 2100, Tein street Flex are 1399 and tein mono's are 1533 so its hard not to go with HKS here considering it will be a street driven car.

Love how easy the air filter is to change in this car, That will be missed when I go GTE haha.

I also went back out and installed the taillights. I probably widened the holes more than they needed to be but the right side with the lock was much tighter to get in. In the end I got them both in relatively easily after some slotting, changed the yellow lamp failure relay to the brown one (for my 95 car) and all the lights work perfectly, no dash light, no fast blink. Looks like they were made for this color!

Well after reading a few more threads it seems like the MK3 R154 front half driveshaft would bottom out on my trans..

Not really worth buying it and having it shortened when that is all that needs to be done with my 1pc that I currently run. Looks like I will probably be picking up the driftmotion billet 1350 slip yoke so I can run rebuildable 1350 u-joints front and rear. Dangit!

Perfect platform to swap all my GS goodies onto (2jzgte vvt-i single turbo/R154/Kaaz LSD) which is pretty high miles, I'm beginning to think I will acquire parts and DD the car until I can pick up the new hinted 2022 toyota corolla GR hatchback which should be turbo/6-speed/awd. That way I can yank my 2jz-gte and have everything gone through and cleaned up/done correctly.

OEM pedals should be here today, also ordered some stoptech front brake lines cause I feel once my HKS coils arrive in a couple months I will do the TT fronts at the same time. Still waiting on EGR blockoffs', probably will work on the 2jz-ge maintenance bits here this coming weekend.

Subscribed and patiently waiting on all future post.
Please advise where you ordered your TRD strut bar from. I tried to order one yesterday from a local Toyota dealer and was told there were none in the system.
Thanks

Search the part number he provided, I found it at numerous local stealerships online and some across the country.
