Default Introducing Mina:

Greetings everyone,

I have started the build on Mina. Mina gets her name from Willamina Harker from the book, "Dracula".

Build specs:

Not going for Ricer or Racer. I just want a super clean VIP build without any of the excessive camber nonsense.

BC Racing Coilovers - Done
Godspeed upper control arms in the front - Done
Megan suspension in the rear - Done
XIX Series 23 20" rims with Toyo tires - Done
Single turbo 500-550hp 2jz build under the hood - Scheduled
Wilwood brakes - Scheduled
Luxious Automotive LED Door sills - Scheduled
Custom Projector headlights - In planning
Lexus door lights - Done
Paint the car black with a hand-laid burgundy pinstripe - scheduled
All burgundy/red annodized parts - as I get them
Get rid of the plastic bubbled ***** shifter and get a simple chrome ball to replace it - Scheduled.
10000 watt sound system with two 12" subs - install coming soon.

This is what I started with:

The car was pretty clean when I got it. I bought it minus those wheels. While they may be someone else's thing, they aren't mine.

Here is what the car looks like before I did the alignment today:

I removed an assload of camber out of the suspension and raised it back up about 2". One of the previous owners unbolted the bumper and never bolted it back up. That is getting fixed tomorrow.

What are you doing with those wheels you took off?

They belong to Blake, who is the previous owner. He has them for sale: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...5484709303795/

10kw is quite a sound system, got any specs on your audio plans?

Sorry for the delayed reply guys.

I am still in the planning stages of the sound system. Yes 10k is a lot. Powering it is going to be a challenge but not impossible. I don't run my sound systems loud much. Mostly for demos the rest of the time, I am more about sound quality than quantity.

As for Batteries, 6 XSPower D3400 batts. One up front and 5 in the trunk. One 12V-1500F SuperBank Capacitor in the trunk. All hidden.
Because I don't run full power for long or often, I will be running one Mechman 320 amp alternator. No, they don't make one for the Lexus so I am using the one they make for the Dodge Ram pickups.
Main power from the front to the rear of the car will be handled by one 3/0 OFC cable on the positive side and three 1/0 cables on the negative side. both going to custom made buss bars.
I will have a 300 amp breaker at the front of the car and several at the back of the car on each battery. (several per battery as batteries can provide much more than 300 amps)
At this time, I am undecided on the electronics but I am leaning toward Rockford amps for the subs and D'Amore Engineering amp for the mids/highs.
Also, undecided on the speakers. I have a pair of B2 12" subs that I will probably use for the bass. I am not sure yet on the mids/highs yet.
The box will be a ported enclosure custom designed by me(been doing this for 30+ years). The subs will fire through the rear seat and the port will be ported into the cab as well. The trunk will be sealed off so very little sound energy gets back into the trunk area.
Should be fun.
