Well I got my Aluminum Mishimoto radiator, mkiv radiator shroud, and AEM oil pressure gauge all hooked up and working fine! Here is a quick idle vid too. My Adams rotors will be here this week and hopefully get those on with the TT calipers I have painted!
Well it’s been an up and down few weeks. Started to overheat on my way into work. I found that the tubes I had temporarily blocked off for the coolant started leaking under pressure due to heat from the turbo/dp. So I have to get that addressed. My plan was to run it this year like that and then over the winter get the hard pipe welded. My Adams rotors came in and they are beautiful! I managed to order the wrong pads though so had to wait for those. Then I had an impossible time getting the stainless steel brake lines installed so I’m sticking with the OEM lines for now.
Also, I bought some Work Equip 05’s in 17x9 and 17x9.5. I don’t think I’ll have those ready until next year but I’m slowly getting them sorted. They are pretty rough. Oh, I bought a TRD style front lip and some LRB Speed door panels are on the way. Plus I picked up a Carbon-Ti HKS muffler finally!
I got an HKS Carbon-Ti from a buddy too! I’m obsessed with these wheels. I like how this lip looks on our cars. First official test fit with new brake setup.
the way!
Couple more big updates! My Equips have been finished with the rebuild! I went with creamy almond faces, gold hardware, and a polished lip. 17x9 +34 and 17x9.5 +32 in the rear. I also FINALLY found some lace seat covers that I have been on the hunt for. Oh, and I bought some BC Racing coilovers that will be here in a month or so (customer spring rates take time). Can't wait!
Well winter in Minnesota is Parts Acquisition Time! Wheels are here, I got my BC BR series coilvers ready for install, and more power parts came in yesterday. I bought an OEM clutch and got it rebuilt by South Bend Clutches. Rated to hold up to 525 lb-ft of torque. IT's been known to handle much more than though but I won't have to worry about that for a while. I have FID 1000 cc injectors coming as well as a radium FPR and FPR gauge to go with my Radium fuel rail previously ordered. Last piece I'm going to acquire will be an LSD, just need to figure out which one!
