How's the black Lexus badge holding up on the front? Do you find it chipping easily?

Its a carbon fiber emblem from rr racing, hasn't chipped really, just yellowed from UV a little though.

Updates updates updates. Gonna be a long post here. After 9 months, finally got those problems resolved. Ended up nuking the factory harness while installing the Microsquirt. New harness swapped in(very expensive mistake, don't recommend) The car started "running right" No more codes, no nothing. Now, we can focus on tuning the car. Arizona is terrible for performance cars. the heat is brutal and we only sell 91 octane here. I needed higher octane fuel, so opted to run e50. For whatever reason, my Microsquirt(MS) wasn't injecting fuel when it was supposed to. UMS Tuning in mesa az fixed the MS and they started the tuning process with Rafi's help. After they were "done" with the car, they told me I ran out of injector and the car was still leaning out. I got the car back from them, and to my surprise the car was running extremely rich. I took some fuel out using the MS, and got 4 more ecm revisions from Rafi. Now, prepping to bring the car back to UMS to have the tuning dialed in using the ECU's Wideband system and Rafi is going to be assisting in the dyno tuning!

Also sold the ARK axelback and had the secondary high flow cats swapped for a second set of resonators, and had a valvetronic axelback installed. This system makes the car quiet as factory when closed and as loud as open headers when the valves are opened. Its great.

That's the major update for the performance mods for the car. Going to other updates now.
the car has been wide-bodied. kinda...

I had ordered a set of Lexon Japan fenders for the car back in march from Topendmotorsports. I was the first person in the US to actually get these, but supposedly PMD vip rushed a car out and got it installed on a facelift rc before I got my car back from the bodyshop. So take that how you will. Had some nia spats installed as well. bought some IS500 side emblems that im debating installing. Haven't committed to putting them on yet though. Take a look:

The car is now running better than it ever has, just have a few kinks to work out. It's finally Cooling off here in AZ so im excited to see 12lbs of boost again.

Been working with ApexRaceParts about a custom offset wheel for this car. I want to run a 18x10+50, but no such wheel exists yet. Have some things in the works with them, so stay posted. Theoretically will be able to run a 285/35/18 all 4 corners...

Finally hit the dyno with the supercharger. Got a solid tune in. ambient temp was 100 degrees yesterday so I'm anticipating the boost to increase come winter time here in Arizona. Here are the graphs:

Well the car just got wrecked into by a Ferrari F355 Spider. Don't think it's totaled, unfortunately. This car is bad luck, and I'm ready to jump ship. Thinking about an e92 M3.

Regardless, I took the door panels off the car, replaced the led ambiance lights that are known for failing, also stuffed the door locks full of butyl and the rattles from the speakers are gone now. Also, I created a trunk partition out of cardboard, and bought a sheet of CF to cut out and seal the trunk off. You'd be surprised how much better the exhaust sounds inside the cabin now.

Took the studio RSR roll cage out too. Shipped it back to them in exchange for a cage that has a harness bar.

Man, this car is really defeating me.

F the car man, glad you are okay.

Car may be a wreck, but at least you have a new project on the horizon.

Was just driving in the right lane when the Ferrari merged into the rear of my car from the middle lane out of the blue. Dude was way too old to be driving. It’ll get fixed. Going to the body shop this week.

we’ll see. I lost motivation to keep this thing. The car keeps kicking me down. I appreciate it!

Why do I keep spending money on a car I don't want anymore....

Some updates:

First things first, just ordered a set of 18x10 ET40 Apex Race Parts VS-5RS fully forged wheels, 18.4 lbs a piece, and much stronger than my previous EC-7's from them. Going to wrap them with a Toyo proxes R888R, 295/35/18 FRONT AND REAR. I think this is the widest fitment I have ever seen on an RC350. I don't think there will be a better handling RC out there after this.

Second thing. E50 tune is finally complete. @RRRacing has been super persistent in helping me get this done. Worked through 7 revisions and multiple dyno sessions to get where we are at, but finally the car is putting down a respectable amount of power and reliably too. Beat the car pretty hard and no hiccups.

Third thing. Range anxiety. E50 is a hard resource to come by in Arizona, actually anywhere. AND, it's more expensive than mid tier fuel here. I started working with Rafi on getting a 91 octane tune made for the car, presumably with less power capability, but were also going to be running a water methanol kit in the car to keep the octane up. That way I can drive the car anywhere without stressing about having the correct kind of fuel, or worrying about fuel quality at untrusted stations.

Fourth thing. Body shop. The car is in the queue to go to Scotts Coach Works, the same people that fitted and installed the wide body. We're looking at January before the car even goes in, but it'll be fully repaired in due time.

Fifth thing. The studio RSR roll cage has been shipped back, and they're installing a harness bar on it. Also with that roll cage update, I finished the rear sear delete, or rear trunk partition, whatever you want to call it. Much less drone, much quieter, and it looks cool.

Happy to announce my partnership with Toyo tires! Going to be doing a lot of work with them in the future on this car! But they just got a set of R888R's sent my way, 295/30/18 for the VS5RS's, which I just took delivery of tonight. Having them ceramic coated tonight as well.

Here she is.

Apex VS5-RS Wheels, 18x10+40, with 10mm spacers, so really it's 18x10+30.

Wrapped in a beautiful @toyotires @teamtoyoUSA Proxes R888R, 295/30/18 FRONT AND REAR.

I present to you, the widest documented square fitment on an RC350.
ignore the Ferrari damage. lol. still twiddling my thumbs waiting for insurance.

I started a different thread to document the details better than I will here, but I officially have everything I need to swap my 2015 multimedia system over to 2018. I got RCF door cards, center console, and instrument bezel for the alcantara on the way, 10.3" screen, 2018 radio, center console area, remote touch pad, new brackets, screws, everything. Should be great once I get it.

Custom ordered some laser etched buttons for the functions in the car. Sure beats the crappy push buttons that didn't fit in those blanks. Now it looks and functions like OEM.
