Bast59 2008 ISF build thread
It's been a long time without any update.
Finding a good brake setup for track is a pain ... Tried Stoptech discs and pads, no problem for sporty street use, but on track, holes still clogged ... So ended up to buy RR Racing front 2 pieces rotors, I will paired them with MX72 pads, I love the feeling with the HC+800 but these ones are eating discs hardly. We will see the result but I think it will be awsome on track.
Also got a Tom's style front lip, Novel style fenders, Tom's start button and titanium style gear ****

Done a few trackdays since Spa, and also 4 laps on the famous Nurburgring, very impressive track

Next mod, OEM exhausts pipes, I've still found the Hayward & Scott ones a little bit weird, got the chance to grab OEM ones for a good price, waiting to receive them

For sure, it's the best place to be when you are a car enthusiast, and when you drive your car on this track, it's a special feeling, exciting and scary

For the windows, it's just a chrome delete with a gloss black tape, I've found it here

No, I've painted it with plastidip first (x3), then gloss black (x3) and varnish (x4)

RR Racing front rotors with Stoptech Sport pads are in
Replacement of the PCV valve, easy when you have the right tools haha
I had a broken foglight after a trackday, so upgraded them to OEM LED of the 2014
Back in summer 2020, a friend made a little F meet (here, F cars are very rare ...)
Unfortunatly rain was here for the ride ...

Between the lockdowns, had the chance to do a trackday at Spa Francorchamps with a F friend, but with the rain too ^^
Best wet lap in 3.32
Best dry lap in the end of the day in 3.08
One of the first session of the morning, in the rain
The last session of the day with dry trajectory
The F welcomed another V8 in the family, dad's gift for his 60th birthday ^^

This year, almost nothing new on the car, just a new set of front pads since yesterday, season 2023 will be with Endless MX72 Plus instead of Stoptech Sport, curious to see the differences, Stoptech ones are very good and last a very long time. For their last moments on track, they've seen Le Mans Bugatti, and they've been busy

Celebrating Lexus & Toyota from Around the Globe
It's been a long time !
The F is fine, nothing big new for her, just basic maintenance. She has little cuts after 5500rpm when full throttle without any codes or engine light, so she now has an AEM E85 fuel pump with brand new filter unit and strainer and now it's fine. I've also painted the 4 calipers in orange because they peeled, love them like that ! And that's it.
The F saw the Nurburgring 3 more times (she is in a video of "Nurburgring fails and near crash compilation" because of a 200 km/h slide
), and saw the Le Mans Bugatti one more time.https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9qbkcs

Since summer 2024, she has a sister with her, another 2008 ISF, with quite a few parts, who will be more track focused. That second ISF has half the parts I wanted to buy and install on the SGM one, so it was easier to modify that one instead.
Here is the parts list of the new one :
Engine
- iCode titanium full exhaust
- PPE headers
- RR Racing Tuned Intake
- RR Racing map
- RR Racing AOS
- Silicone radiator hoses
- Koyorad radiator
- RR Racing trans oil cooler
- RR Racing motor mounts
- Tom's oil cap
Drivetrain
- Cusco F & R struts
- Tein Flex A coilovers with EDFC
- Godspeed rear arm
- SPC adjustable rear camber arm
- RR Racing USRS
Aesthetic
- 2014 facelift headlights
- 2014 LED foglights
- Wheels Advan RSII 19x9 ET35 F and 19x10 ET35 R
- Novel carbon front lip
- Tom's carbon diffuser
- Tom's carbon sideskirts lips
- Wald carbon trunk spoiler
- Carbon roof spoiler
- Carbon foglights covers
- Blackout windows trims + front grille + emblems
- Rear windows tint 95%
- Windows deflectors
- PPF tinted on F & R lights
- Gran Turismo windshield banner
For now, coilovers are so awful that I can't imagine going to track with it, Tein are way too soft, softer than oem unit, the car does not feel like an F anymore with them on corners, very disturbing, can't wait to have better coilovers. I will have to do the valley plate on this one, there is a very little drop of coolant under sometimes.

camera man was enjoying the ride also.

I wonder if you are still running the mx72 pads? I use them for street and tracking and like them for both.
Also are you using an oil cooler? I noticed the oil temp bar was getting a bit high 6 bars maybe?
Anyway great videos and thanks for sharing.

Yep, still have MX72+ pads, I'm on the second set since last year. I'm thinking of trying the ME20 ones on the black ISF to see the differences, but really love the MX72+ too !
No, don't have oil cooler. Oil temp goes high on track yes, sometimes it goes full bars ...
You're welcome, thank you too, it's always a pleasure to share with others car guys
