Lexus GS 300 year 2007 wont even crank
Hi All,
Please advise if you have experienced the same or similar. For a month, each time after driving the car for a while after switching it off, it would not start. When I say would not start I mean it even would not crank. The green light in the middle of start button would not go on but you could switch the gear. However in 30 mints, when you press the brake pedal the light would go on and engine would start with no problem. Now it does not start at all 😊
Thanks.

Heat soak on the worn starter.
Im sure you can buy a reman one and have an indy shop at 80 an hour do it. Probably under 250, depending on starter brand. Denso reman is $157 at rock.
Starters last a long time. I had an 1992 ES300 last over 230k. 1996 Camry over 160k. My current 07 GS450h 199k but that is motor not a traditional starter.
