My Old 98 GS300
This is my 98 GS300 Base + 6CD & 5-star OEM chrome wheels. Purchased this 1 owner car which was 100% serviced at Lexus its entire lifespan. Bought it with about 211K.
Things I'd like to improve:
Driver seat needs attention
I'd like to clean up some of the paint imperfection
Steering wheel telescoping motor greasing
Driver side lock actuators, front and rear
Some things I've done:
Tinted windows at 5% all around
Headlights cleaned
Radio replaced with another OEM unit w/a working LCD
Replaced the old 98 Tail Lights with 01-05 OEM Tail Lights
Replaced the air and cabin air filters
Replaced the MAF sensor
Replaced master remote key battery
I'll be adding pics and whatever other info as I keep at it. I'm not planning to upgrade the wheels or suspension, or anything like that. I just want to keep it as clean and as OEM as possible

Thanks! Spark plugs, wires and a new valve cover gasket work done. Pictured are my refreshed headlights and updated tail lights. Road trip next month, so new tires are likely coming up next.

Been having acceleration hesitation issues since purchase, and from searching and reading I'm close to concluding that my APPS is not quite right/needs replacement. When trying to pick up speed in most any case, there's a delay almost always to get moving. I'm in a lot of stop and go traffic, so after I've slowed and trying to pick up speed again, there's the delay. Sometimes very bad, where there's near no acceleration at all as if there's no input on my end trying to do so. Plugs n wires have been replaced recently, and the throttle body was replaced about 30K ago. I haven't done a TB cleaning yet, so cannot rule that out. I may just opt to replace the APPS, but I'm undecided right now!

Hit 220k today
Tires were replaced last October before the wifey and I had our anniversary trip, a ~10 day road trip. We went from home east of L.A. to Laughlin for 4-5 days, then Laughlin to Solvang for 2 days, next Solvang to Manhattan Beach for a day, then down to San Diego for 2 days; roughly 1200 miles.
Battery was replaced on day 2 of the road trip as it died on day 1.
Rear and front bumpers have been repainted and such thanks to valet damage to the rear while we were in San Diego, and California road trash damage to the front.
Timing belt job and detail/clay bar are up next.

Ran past 222K a few days ago.
Been noticing a noisy "something" in the engine lately, thought it might be my new water pump or something squeaking. Well, nope. I don't know for certain without having removed the parts, but I believe my drive belt tensioner gave out. At the same time, I see my upper alternator mount bolt looks to have backed out. So I don't know if the tensioner gave out causing the alt bolt to back out, or that the alt bolt backed out first resulting in the tensioner giving up.
Situation escalated as so: noticeable minor burning smell while waiting to exit a slow freeway exit ramp, had my AC on recirculate (do not like that smog freeway traffic smell), so that shouldn't have been the case if not me. Drove a few miles post freeway exit, battery light came on. Car temp started rising above normal for the first time in my ownership, so I pulled over asap! Discovered all of this mess. So battery light = no belt to drive the alt. Raised temp = no belt to drive the water pump.
One way or the other it's time for some hopefully simple repair work ahead if nothing was seriously damaged.
