Mine have a 3mm spacer to clear the caliper so technically it's +35 in front.

Look up "light smoke vinyl tint" on Ebay.

Thanks. It was a roll of tint from Ebay. Cut it myself and I only wrapped the flat rear-facing portion, not the top nor the sides because the vinyl is so rigid and causes air pockets. I agree that the best route is getting it clear-coat (w/tint) sprayed on for which I may end up doing.

We need some full vehicle pics to see the roof and wheels together. I'm definitely feeling that black.

Thanks. It comes in matte black and I sanded the two ends to make it less rounded. Ebay seller dt_moto

Looks awesome! How is the paint and vinyl stickers on the calipers holding up? I am most concerned with the heat effecting the vinyl stickers......

Thanks. Paint early to tell but optimistic. I had the same caliper stickers on my '14 IS and they were fully intact after 3 years and that includes 3 winters!

^^^ Thanks to both of you!

Next mod, time to unleash the growl of the V6. Starting off with a res-delete.

Default Magnaflow and Res-Delete Video

Was happy with the Magnaflow exhaust setup on my '14 IS so went ahead with a similar setup. I kept my previous '14 IS' OEM exhaust piping which I now had Coachworks Automotive weld the Magnaflow 4x9x11" mufflers to it and make a bolt-on axle-back. I also wanted the stock look for the tips so I had him place the OEM tips on my new exhaust.

Watch the video to listen to the setup below which includes the first phase res-delete with stock mufflers, then the final phase with the Magnaflow mufflers.

Damn that is sounding nice! And one of a kind!
What was the final damage to the wallet?

Thanks! $740 Cdn all-in (labor, parts, taxes) which is pretty cheap!

$200 - Magnaflow mufflers
$240 - Res-Delete
$300 - Mufflers install/welding ,additional fittings/parts, and OEM bracket build for the OEM tips and their install

NOTE: Since I used the OEM axleback tubing from my past IS that I kept, this saved me another ~$250-$300 on parts and labor which would have made the total to about $1K.

As an alternative, one can get the Magnaflow axle-back for about $1K Cdn but my main issue with it is the round tips (14-16 'IS) which doesn't suit the '17 IS' squared rear diffuser housing. Also, the MF axleback has the longer 14" length mufflers making it slightly quieter than my setup and you need to factor in the Res-delete too as extra. In short, it's why I went with the custom build.
