Put the new wing on last night. My painter killed the color match by custom tinting PPG (water based paints are not the easiest to custom tint). None of the alternates were a great match. The pic isn't great, but oh well...
And just like washing your car brings rain, putting new parts on brings snow.

Thanks Josh!
They are the common carbon ebay ones that most people have. I had them painted Tuxedo Black Metallic to match the rest of the aero. After I mounted them the first time I thought that they stuck way too far, so I drilled so I mounted them further in with a little modification. For me they serve zero function, rather they just finish off the aero....

Over the winter I have been tending to a few maintenance items, that led to more maintenance items.... While checking over the line going from the PCV to the intake manifold the hose cracked on me. Over the course of time a few of these have become brittle. So, that was first on my list. Like many others that have had the ELF recall done, my plastic wiring harness casing was broken. I called corporate and they referred me to the dealer. In good faith, even though my dealer did not do the work, they provided me with a new part. I was happy to have that piece replaced.
During:
After:
I also wanted to get the plugs changed, which led to more work. I found that the spark plug o ring that sat between the valve cover and head on cylinders six and eight was leaking. So I undertook the process of pulling the valve cover off to replace those. The the fuel pump sitting on top of the valve cover it reminded me of how much I missed working on Hondas.
This also may be helpful to some others that struggle with an exhaust leak at the collector. I have been through 4 sets of gaskets with each failing only after a few months. I was recommended by my exhaust fabricator to try Remflex gaskets. They seem to be made of quite a bit of graphite and others have reported they work well. I will report back with what I find.
I am also planning to freshen up the brakes in the next month or so. I picked up some NS400 pads and plan to grab some new Brembo rotors.
My LC818 wheels are currently at the powdercoater to have them done in gloss black to match the theme of the car better. Once I get those back I have some nice rubber to go on. Then I should be ready for spring.

LOL. reminds me also on working on mustangs; so easy, even a caveman man can do it. did you get any CEL with the broken exhaust gaskets? i want to change plugs on mine, but really don't want to do it myself as it's my daily driver and i know i'll run into some sort of issue. I used felpro gaskets, don't think i have an exhaust leak but i have DTC P0420 so I'm going to change O2 sensor first.
nothing is easy on these cars.

Did you check your valve lash while you had the covers off? It would be an ideal time to do it.

I used your thread for a DIY in removing that valve covers and found it very useful, but no I didn't check the valves. I probably should have, but did not have a feeler gauge set on hand, nor have I ever done it before. To be honest, with this car being a DD I needed to get it back together and unfortunately one of the metal gaskets between the pulsation damper and banjo bolt called it quits, so I am waiting on a new one to get back on the road.

The latter. I am pretty the one between the HPFP and banjo bolt is sitting somewhere on the subframe with a 10mm deep well socket. I fished for a hour plus with no luck...

You have my deepest sympathy. I know EXACTLY how that feels. I ended up dropping the engine and transmission undercovers to find mine. What a PITA.
