I would have kept the loud exhaust if it weren't for the neighbors. But this new one sounds alright and doesn't bother anyone
Thanks for the kind words!

I still think that you should've tried closing the valves before replacing it.

So does your new CatBack have secondary CATS built in? That will definitely make it quieter but will reduce the flow a bit. Very sweet exhaust and unique!

How are you liking the sound compare to your last exhaust?

Yeah it's catted, which is good! Sets me up for long tube headers (which LEMS/iCode will be making too, in titanium!)
Just my observation though, car feels like it regained some low end torque, switching from the meisterschaft. It could be just me though, but it feels like car is more responsive to abrupt throttle inputs, and pulls harder. I THINK mingofish also noticed some low end torque loss with the meisterschaft compared to stock, too. I like the sound, I had icode on my ISF too and loved it. I do miss the aggressive sound of the meisterschaft though.

It was dry out so I took the RCF for a drive to take a quick video mainly for exhaust sounds. Gopro in the cabin, passenger window about half inch open to let sound in.

that's not good to hear. which part of the meisterschaft system do you think causes the low end torque loss? i ordered the mid pipe, the only piece that will give the car more power but I'm thinking of getting the matching axle back because i hate oem piping on the rear axle back. honestly, if the rear axle back had normal rounded 2.25/2.5 piping, i would keep oem axle back since i like the look.

although i know if we could get a personal tune after bolt ons to fix the torque loss, nothing is available as of yet.

btw, do you have long tubes? if not , do you intend to?

I'd hate to say it's this or that when I'm not really sure. But, if I have to guess, the axle back would be my first guess. I wanted to experiment and put the stock axle back back on with the meister mid pipe or at least use the icode axle back with the meister mid pipe to verify my observation, but I got too excited and just installed the full icode

It could also be that I just drove less aggressively with the loud exhaust because it was REALLY LOUD and didn't want unwanted attention from the local LE. I must say, it's easier to drive aggressively with a quiet exhaust.

No headers yet, but yes, that is in the future

That is probably most likely. I don't even have the full exhaust and my foot gets really light if I see a cop. If my exhaust was loud enough to hear from 1-2 miles away I would likely not mash the pedal very often at all. I like my car getting attention, but not that kind of attention.

Made a template for rear 'mudflaps'. I will get some ABS plastic material for the final pieces. They'll be held in place by the stock plastic clips holding the the fender liner. These will hopefully minimize gravel and rocks from collecting under the rear bumper.

Was detailing the car and I see this! Paint bubbles in the headlights! My IS-F had this issue also.

Since our cars accelerate quickly it might be wise to widen the flap a little bit outwards so that gravel doesn't get shot out and damage the rear-side bumpers.
Recently saw a picture of someones bumpers and the sides look like they were sand blasted.

P.S. This is a great idea! Good luck!

The final pieces are done! They're widened a little, but not too much, I didn't want them to be too obvious. The plastic clips won't snap in place with the added thickness of the flaps. Luckily, they have holes through the middle so I was able to use some self tapping screws. Went for a test drive and they definitely reduced the amount of crap collected up under the bumper. I may have to trim them a little though as they scrape backing out of the driveway.
