Default Sc300 2jz-ge build

Hey all! I'm new fairly new to the forum! I will be starting my GE block build...ok well I started it about a week ago but still. Ok well here's the rundown. I picked up a very clean 162k 92 sc300 auto from Florida a few months back with every intention to do a manual swap and go NA-t... Well...I did... for about a week. I did a eBay manifold, cx gt35, and turbosmart 44mm wg. The rest was parts from buddy's and what I could find. Kind of a budget build. I also ran mk3 440s with an aristo ecu and safc to tune with. Well after a week the car did not want to turn over. It just made a "*****" sound and after a few tries would go "rut rut rut *****" so I said forget it. I picked up another long block and I will be documenting as I go. I plan to do a full rebuild just not sure if I'm going fully forged or just piston. Advice and direction is welcome. Also plan to run a hx40 and looking for 6-700hp DD. Thanks guys and stay tuned.

So if you guys wouldn't mind helping me out on the direction to go for a safe 6-700hp dd that would be great, and yes I know search search search. Trust me I have done loads of research! My head hurts from so much reading and build thread after build thread and this info and that!

I just don't know what I want to do really. Full forged, just Pistons, just stay stock with a rebuild.... The list goes on.

I know tuning plays a big part in it, really the biggest part! I do plan on going standalone but again not sure which one. Aem v1, megasquirt, or any other suggestions. Please help out and give me some advice! I'm off to start tearing down the new motor....pics up shortly!

Ok got some work done on the new motor.

Cams out

Old head gasket looks good

Head off

Pistons look good so far and the bores still have crosshatchings in them. Number 2&3 have one thin line down them so it will be re honed. I don't like the lines.

Valves

Buckets and shims
