mveale's '99 GS400 Build Thread
My roommate just randomly walked in the door with a set of 5x114.3 spacers and asked if I wanted them. They look to be about 10mm... Huge win!
Update coming this weekend when a few other little things get here.

Sub box - I'm not sure what you're asking...
Fog lights - Custom made by the previous owner of this body kit, YaKuZa_GS. That bumper/fog light setup is one of one.
Running lights - Disabled using the common jumper wire trick. Unless you're referring to the halos, which are also custom made.
High beams - No idea, whatever bulbs are in the factory housing.
Grille - L-Tuned
Trunk lights - Cheap, blue SMD strip from eBay, probably. It was in a box of stereo stuff I bought from a guy parting out his car.
Good luck with your car, dude!
Oh, and here it is all dialed in and clean:

I love it I'm mad jealous you got these limited things
My buddy who installed the coilovers must have forgotten to tighten a lug nut, because I was missing one when I went to dial in the ride height last week. They were Gorilla nuts with a specific key pattern, so I couldn't exactly just order another one.
So I decided to order a set of Project Mu teal lug nuts to match my sticker and the coilovers. It's all about the details!

I also put some spacers in the rear. I'd like to go with something more aggressive, but I'll need to shave fenders and get extended studs first. For now, this will do.

Other than the couple of small changes I mentioned earlier, the last thing I'm going to do to the exterior for a while will be a SerialNine CSL trunk... Probably.
Going to be focusing on the interior for now. I'm bidding on an air bag for my wood wheel as we speak.

Yep. The EZ Street coilovers. They ride pretty well and will go super low, so I have no complaints so far. We'll see how they hold up!
Cleaned it up yesterday. I'm really digging the ride height. My yellowing driver's side headlight is bugging me a lot more than it should, so I may be adding Q45 retros to the short list of things I want to do to the exterior...

lookin great man.
your fogs are awesome.
i think you'll be happy with the Megan EZ's. some people don't like em. i think they are great.
I have adjusted mine about 20 times since i got them. and think i need to go back up some more again, haha.
i think i have had them for about 2.5 years now, so they have held up great.
i had to drill out the shock towers to chill the banging from hitting bumps. that used to drive me insane. cussin' like a sailor. and i remember when i first got them they made creaky haunted noises, but that went away over time too.
anyways, your GS is lookin' great

Yeah this is actually my first set of coils (all my other cars are springs or air), so I figured there was no reason to spend a million dollars on coils right out of the gate. So far, they've been great!
trying to decide on EZ's or not.. I know a few members running them and are happy.. My Teins are maxed out all the way around and its still not low enough according to Carlos lmao.... the car looks great with that drop....
Part of me thinks that a lot of the hate for Megans comes from people who spent 2-3x as much on coils and need to validate their purchase by ragging on the inexpensive option. That said, this is my first set and I've only had them for a couple weeks, so it's too early to rule out catastrophic failure due to shoddy manufacturing.
I've got some pretty cool interior items on the way that should be in Monday or Tuesday... I'll update when I install!
So far so good on mine!

Interior things have arrived! Authentic Junction Produce neck pads thanks to James @ VipdOut and I scored a custom built table and bottle cabinet second hand from a random GS Facebook page.
Pretty happy with my back seat at the moment....

The acrylic poles on the table light up as well as the bottle cabinet, but I still need to wire them in.
