Man, that hood looks awesome. Did you fill the cutouts with fiberglass (or pre-fabbed vented inserts) or re-use the old metal once reshaped as desired?

Filled the cutouts with carbon/fiberglass than fiberglass filler and icing to smooth out dips etc.

Cool, thanks. It's exactly what I've been wanting to do the past couple weeks, so you've provided me a good road map.

I saw a UCF10 with the grill detached from the hood and mounted to core support...could be useful. Nice progress!

So i picked up some Buddy club seats and they had civic rails/sliders. on them. I modified the tabs and bolted them up...

Lol i am 6'1 and i couldn't see over the wheel... Had to raise the seat brackets 4 inches lol,

Anyways after that sent the car out to get a cage. The process that was supposed to take 2 weeks. Took 4.5 months. Kind of killed the whole year for me as i was hoping to track this car over the summer.

So 4.5 months later

SO while the car was gone all that time i couldn't really do much...

As soon as it came back. i started working on finishing the side skirts and the hood/rest of body

A 4 door sedan for racing? Is it required for some stock class or what?

there are plenty of 4door racecars. No reason for there not to be.

Even for cars that have options of both sedan and coupe, the sedan has some advantages. My wife's BMW M3 racecar is a sedan version. The bar between front and rear doors adds extra stiffness/support to the car. Also it's much easier to get tires, etc into the back of the car when loading it up for the track .
