My '06 SC has Xenon AFS HID headlights as I understand it. Twice in the past 6 months the lights have turned themselves off at night. I turn the light switch off and on and (thankfully) they turn on and remain on. Recently I found that I had only the right light lit. Again, switch on/off turned them both on.

Lexus dealer suggests that they can burn through $500 searching for the problem and not find it because of occasionally nature of it. Thanks for any thoughts you might have.
