Lexus IS250 to IS350 M/T conversion
#35
Running some 30.000 miles now and the stock ECU handles the 0,5 bar like a charm.
Some cooling help from methanol injection only that also gave me a 9 RWHP as a bonus.
Never take what they tell you granted.

From what I gather here is you basically have a 350 now since you swapped the harness and everything over, including the ECU, right?
So essentially in order to do the manual transmission swap on a 350, all you need is the full manual transmission setup and re-flash the 350 ECU to delete the auto trans control and splice some wires in the shifter area for reverse lights. Pretty similar to manual swapping early model Tacomas too except we can get away with swapping a manual trans ECU for the auto ECU.
I also owned an Automatic E30 BMW and people would manual swap those cars all the time. I think all that had to be done was physically put the manual in and splice some wires in the shifter area for reverse lights and a couple more to trick the ECU into thinking its in Drive all the time and done.
At this point, those of us in the states just need to find someone that can re-flash a 350 ECU to delete the automatic trans control stuff. I think Jeff Lange sent his to Japan to be re-worked?

You'd have to ask Jeff Lange regarding flashability of the USDM ECU.
I had mine sent to SARD in Japan and got it tuned while it was there.
*Small Update* though...
Managed to grab myself the full ISF Brembos (front and rear) and the ISF brake booster which will be going into the car coupled with StopTech braided brake lines.
These will be powder coated orange, similar to the new RCF and GSF brakes.
Also picked up the Aimgain 3pc Spoiler in Fibreglass which will be going in for paint together with the entire car which will be resprayed to 082 Nova White from the new GS IS RC RX etc etc F Sport models.
Pics will come soon

Got a few mods ready to go in. Can't see them here but the mods also include a 4gs intake and rr racing bushings.
Also looking into some Weds SA67Rs for street wheels and a decent square 18 setup for the track. Some input or advice would be most helpful =D
