It's tough to find the right Lexus in the condition and color option combo. Luckily the owner wanted the car to go to someone who knew what it was so we hit it off.

Obviously, I had set my budget too low at first to find a nice GS400. I drove to Dallas twice, and Houston once to look at sub $6k piles of crap before this one was listed. Actually, I think it was listed as I was driving back from Dallas. I turned around and drove back in the next couple of days to go get it! lol

Congrats on your clean GS4! Please post pics once you have the spacers installed. I would like to do the same.

Do you have a link to the ones you went with?

I bought the HR Trak ones, but I didn't realize that with the HR spacers you have to replace the stock studs which is kind of a pain! I had Ichiba spacers on my Sc300 and my Supra and they worked perfectly, so Im regretting the HR purchase right now.

I had DentWorks in Austin do some PDR today, and my friend is going to buff the paint this next weekend. I'll post pictures for sure this weekend.

I do have a set of hyper black IS350 wheels, but I'm not sure I like them on the GS..

I'm thinking about picking up the same set of Avante Garde M310 wheels that I had on my Supra.

I decided to rock the IS350 wheels for a bit.

275 35 18 rear and 225 40 18 front tires.

This is stock suspension.

It's not amazing, but it looks decent for sure. Kinda low key which is ok with me.

We buffed it out today. It took about 6 hours and maybe $200 in product and supplies because he used 2 new buff pads. One thing we didn't realize is that this black is a single stage paint with no clear, and that's why it pops so nice. This car will never oxidize or need waxed probably ever now!

Here are some pics.

Master Jedi at work

This is a before shot. You can see the oxidation and swirl marks here.

Car was so happy it shed a tear...

This is before the final step in which we used a product called Black Magic to finish it off.

This is a shot of the Black Magic 'flashing' and you can see the paint popping like crazy here.

Final product

Your close enough, you should!

I've had him do like 4-5 cars now, and I swear it's almost like getting a new paint job. He's actually a dealership painter by trade, so you have nothing to worry about.

Here's a couple more pics with better lighting and camera.

This is the rear quarter

Honestly, I can't even capture how slick it look's with a camera.

Yeah so if anyone is local and wants their car buffed like this let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.
