Default My 2jz-gte build

New member, long time lurker. Picked up a 92 sc300 5 speed a few months ago from a guy in his 70's (funny story). Got an aristo 2jz and a jdm r154 from a mk3, almost ready to drop in just gotta throw more money @ Driftmotion, then decide how to wire the harness.

Looking good so far. I see that you have an official woodgrain hood staff.

I've been looking into ways to wire up this swap, and I've gotta say I like the idea of using my stock harness and just pinning in things I need (cam/crank sensors, map, etc)

This is the only thread I could find that touches on the subject

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...onversion.html

Does anyone have experience doing this?

its doable but if you want to keep the twins in sequential you will have to wire up all the vsv's and stuff.
If you go single or just TTC the twins I think you can get away without wiring up all that stuff, and then it becomes easier to just add the map+iat and wire up the cam and crank to the old distributor wires. gonna need to add the coil/ignitor wires in as well from your gte harness and extend those.

So this is the sensor harness I pulled from the aristo harness, got a few questions. The two sensors circled yellow are the cam sensors, and the one in red is the crank sensor. My understanding is that the white wires are signal, black are negative? and the brown all go to ecu ground. Why does the crank signal join with one of the cam sensor signals before the ecu? and which would be #1 and #2 cam sensor? Any input would be awesome!

Anyone with first-hand knowledge on this? It's really the only thing holding me up, I'm going single turbo so everything else is simple to pin.

Sick build! You're coming along quickly. Keep it up. #subscribed

RE the pinning, do you have the factory service manual? It has the wiring diagrams etc. I'm looking in the electrical system pdf now to see if I can be of assistance

Pulled this from the 2JZ Engine Manual. Should be the same for the 1JZ but this is a starting point only for reference. Verify for yourself to be 100% sure.

What this is saying is this:

C1 (has two wires)
C1.1 white
C1.2 orange

C2 (has two wires)
C2.1 Black Wire w/ White Stripe
C2.2 Blue Wire

Crankshaft position sensor
C3 (has 2 wires)
C3.1 Black Wire w/ Red Stripe (good beer btw)
C3.2 Brown Wire

As shown in the wiring diagram, C2.2 (blue wire) is connected to C3.2 (brown wire)

Hope this helps and sorry if it's overly simplistic. Find the 1JZ Manual (even if it's not in english, we only need the wiring diagram) and TURNUP!

EDIT

Found the manual here http://www.lextech.org/documents/WiringEFI.pdf
It's on page 2/3

MacGyverQu you led me in the right direction, thanks a lot! I found an aristo jzs141 wiring diagram here:

http://wilbo666.pbworks.com/w/page/3...WiringDiagrams

I got the sensors figured out so I edited my picture, I hope this helps noobs in the future haha. Pinning your original sc harness is pretty easy to do!

I'm ready to put my engine in, but I need a stupid question answered.

Which two are the mounts from my lexus, an which are the mounts from my aristo swap? I should have never put them near each other, the letters don't make sense to me.
