Which turbo housing works best with the S360? I'm looking at the Full Race website and they have options for the turbo housing, single scroll or twin scrolls with different A/R's

I would get twin scroll .88 divided for your setup .

I have a .91 divided some hate but i like it since i don't like the stock twins feel.

Wow, Tim's turbo's is located right down the street from my work. Do they sell new and used turbos or only rebuild them?

Tabaka, congrats on movement forward...you've been busy, and I love what LLS did with your gauges!

lazy? You're a funny guy you I need to stop spending money on aesthetics and give this tank some GO! I'm not going to do any damage at race wars with my current set up.

This post is exactly what i want to do. Give it the looks and then some go. I think i'd rather be more happy with the 400-450hp range. I know the w58 is at it's limits their but i figure if you just drive it normal and push it barely you should be good. Please post up with what your list and setups are!

Driftmotion has a pretty sweet deal on the turbo kit but most of it isn't well known names, Dave H has a pretty good turbo kit as well but whenever i email him it's a "no response probably to busy" type of deal. The only thing that i've seen that comes complete with brand name parts was boostlogic turbo kit. but that's $4k. =(

$4,000 on this jap sled....sheeeiitttt, the Tabaka wife would take alimony!

Going to update page 1, but I think this is a semi-accurate cost estimate.

Borg Warner Turbo: $800 (new'ish/rebuilt)
Manifold: $500 (new)
3" downpipe: $100
Clutch and Pressure plate: $400 (new)
440 Injectors: $120
Wastegate: Tial - $250
BOV: $80
Intercooler kit: $300'ish
GTE ECU: $120*
Coil packs: $350*
SC4 MAF: $90
various gaskets and oil feed lines: $100

*Ali GTE ECU Mod thread

Parts cost: $3,210 (Way over budget)

Labor and assistance: ???? (going to assume $750?)

Looking at almost $4,000 which is not going to work unfortunately. Maybe this build is a pipe dream. I'm not sure how you guys do it. I have a mortgage, utilities, work a middle class job etc. Just seems like a lot of money for crappy 350hp. Anyone else have better ideas? Maybe a $1,500 - $2,000 1J/2JZ-GTE swap with twins is the way to go?

I know the term pay to play, been doing it all my life.

lol, yeah it definitely aint cheap... plus you need to factor in the cost of things breaking or messing up. Always have an extra budget allocated for that just in case.

Honestly, for your goals and budget, get the XSpower kit and just get a few dif items in it.

I ran it just like it comes, except i made my own feed and return lines. I made the stats in my sig on GE ecu with an SAFC thru an auto and had ZERO drivability issues. ALi has seen my handy work... And aside from being in the I hate AEM club, and almost selling or parting my car, Im now gonna run an aristo ecu and just try to enjoy my car again.

This was my first build thread. Aside from some time spent double and triple checking everything, it went sort of smooth. I spent just about 1500 on the whole kit, plus some electronics which i think left me just shy of 2k.

My second build has been WAY MORE expensive... LOL

vvti coils are like 120-150 and the ds62 ignitor is like $30 so you can shave some off the coil price right there.
you need a 2jz map sensors not a sc400 maf. you could also find a deal on a turbo and manifold also.

And i'll say it again...I'M IN THE EXACT SAME SITUATION/BOAT ETC. lol. What i was thinking was if you went with the driftmotion its $1400, a few more hundred for intercooler kit. which would be $1700 or so, then you still gotta do guages, fuel (injectors, fuel pump etc) that's at $2000 or so, then you gotta get something to tune it $2500 or so.
