Could be a lot worse, when mine's on the rack I tend to have no idea what I'm looking at and just say "That's stock and probably broken. Thats stock, that's broken, that's probably also broken. Thats stock and needs to be replaced which will lead to that being broken." lol

I admire your tenacity. You certainly haven't given up on your car, and I have watched you struggle with it for years now lol. Keep up the good fight man, it will be there one day.

At least your are doing it right and fixing things that need to be fixed... before you get boosted...that way you feel more comfortable when the time comes that you have properly fixed the maintenance items....Good luck on the build..

I will be using your parts list when come spring time when I decide to add boost...when you do your turbo conversion...please be sure to take lots of pics

#1 May need a rack

#2 P/S pressure line is leaking

#3 Replace column

#4 P/S leak on the A/C lines i'm sure just clean it up.

#5 Reseal oil pan when we tap the pan oil return line.

#6 E brake needs to be adjusted or you need need E brake shoes.

#7 Why doesn't the airbag work? Airbag light on the Dash? Yes? Did you remove your cluster with the key on ON position ? if Yes , that's why your airbag light stays ON.
It needs to be reset

#8 Replace the front brakes , maybe able resurface the rotors and hang some pads on them.

#9 If your lower ball joint are in great condition just buy the bushing kit and replace the bushings.

#10 same as #9

#11 Buy some 97-98 TT mount and we will replace the broken ones.

In french we say * Tu as du pain sur la planche*

Thought I'd unwind from the pressures of maintenance and overlay the rear taillights with a light tint. I purchased the film from Lamin-x and installed them this morning. I think they came out nice. My rear plate has a tinted plastic overlay as well. Everything is very light. I did my front headlights, highs, and fogs last year which still look great.

<-- Left OEM

Right Tint overlay -->

Headlights for reference

Did you have to cut and mold the overlay on the taillight or was there a template? I went on their website and I only saw headlights and fogs.

Headlights and fogs templates were ordered for the front. I ordered a sheet of 12"h x 32" for the tails. I cut the 12" in half at 6", and they fit perfectly. It was really easy to install the rears. Just spray a little water on the lens and vinyl and squeegy. A heat gun helps as well for the round corners. It was very simple and only took 10 minutes per side.

It was easier to remove the head lights and fogs for the install on the fronts. The templates were a perfect shape, but I found it easier to remove them and install on my work bench.

No, it's the same damn lip. It doesn't stick around the license plate area after I spent many hours dremmeling and shaving. I might rip it off...again. Least of my worries right now though.

Wow. You can hardly tell its the same lip your having trouble with. However haven't yet seen any close ups of the area.
But it looks good in these pictures anyway.

What are you using to make it stick?

Thanks...I own one...I bought it in the first GB that they sold in. I have not installed or painted it yet. I will have the paint and body guys paint and install it professionally.

I agree...It looks good in the pics...Can you please post up some more pics of the car with the lip? I assume the side skirts are OEM 97/2000's?

Thanks,

Ryan
