It's been a few month since i posted anything. Been working on the LS here and there and finally finished the audio portion. I've touch pretty much all I could on the rest of the car so it's just the audio that is left. (Except the engine...anyone got $10K I can borrow for asupercharge? ) I had a subwoofer replacement in here before but now wanted to do a full sound system. So, with the help from my buddy at Impact Performance in San Mateo, we went ahead with the project.
I decided to add two 10" subwoofer in the left and right corner of the trunk. It had to be done in fiberglass so we taped both corner in preparation of the resin.
The rest of the floor and TV were taped up and fiberglass/resin were applied...numerous coats.
When both fiberglass base were cured, they were removed and additional layer of fiberglass and resin were applied to make them more durable. I left them in the sun to dry quicker.
Next, speaker ring/baffle were made for Focal 10" subwoofer.
Nice write up... great pics.. every time i see your car i realize how much work i still have left ahead of me... thanks for keeping the bar raised nice an high...

Thanks bro. I'm not sure about setting the bar...just trying to keep up with the LS460 owners on the forum.
When the fiberglass subwoofer boxes were being built, I started the trunk lid in parallel. I was trying to get booth projects done at the same time for a local car show.
First, we taped up the entire trunk to prevent any dripping of resin. A friend had an extra trunk lid for me to use. I still have the original one that was diamond stitched.
We applied a few coat of resin to the OEM trunk lid to harden it. After it has harden, i removed it from the trunk lid and added more resin. It needs to be strong to support the speakers.
Next is deciding on how the mid/tweet and LCD monitor will fit altogether. There isn't much room on our trunk lid so i tried to squeeze in what I can without making it look overcrowded.
