Below is a jumble of everything that was in the first few posts, i write alot, thanks for reading haha
So as some of you may or may not have seen, my gf purchased an 09 is250 earlier this year. Since then she has got another daily driver so I have taken the car over. goal is oem+ and simple/elegant.
As we got it. bone stock 09 with the luxury package. 25k on the clock
First thing i did was lower it
then added the yakima rack (not everyones cup of tea, but we bike.. so it is staying)
the one thing i miss dearly about my old jetta is the black headliner.. and after many issues with wrapped headliners, decided to take the plunge into OEM IS-F headliner pieces.
Still waiting on a Sewell order to finish up a good chunk of the headliner pieces, and need to snap pics of the actual headliner itself.
Other things done but no pics (aka small stuff everyone does):
Resonator delete
intake (gutted box/deleted air silencer)
shortened shift ****
Wheels will be next on the todo list once I finish piecing together the headliner parts im missing
we had these( Hamann PG1's made by OZ), but decided to go another route as well as color (felt the two shades of white did not work well together)
Random pics:
I know its not nearly as impressive as a lot of your rides but more is in store
Stay tuned and thanks for looking, i promise less cell phone pics in the future
***Pics from further in the thread**
so with this:
came an oil change. with jacking the car up.. figured i might as well address the bumper tabs. so i got that sorted out and no longer rub entering my driveway.
also started logging gas mileage so we shall see how things go here in the next few months with that
also to help above numbers.. removed rack
on a final note: Sewell shipped my order, so new goodies will be here soon, headliner will go in before too long
some of the small finishing pieces for the headliner i got today, as well as chrome door locks/led
Hi res coming soon. My dog is a ham

thank you sir. wheels we will actually run might just have to be color matched
megan ez coilovers.
will be going lower once i trim the bumper tab. should be doing that this coming week as well as rolling fenders.

OEM+ is a good look! That black headliner is awesome, but I could be mistaken, but don't the 2012 IS350s come with black headliners too? A fellow 2012 IS350 F sport down here in SoTX has black headliner stock from factory. Looks pretty awesome and maybe I'll eventually switch over. Been a fan considering I wrapped my IS300's headliner in black
And a functional roof rack is a good roof rack. Never understood people that put them on just for looks.
Good luck! Seems like it's going in a good direction.

How could you not go biking when you live in an area that looks like that across the street
Awesome!
I've always loved the GFM color too

i have purchased some parts new and some parts used. All new parts would be in the ball park of $3k+ the sunroof control module is $670 thru sewell with discount.. main headliner piece lists for $1200.. so all depends on if you buy new or used.
as stated previously i am against wrapping due to past experiences, it looked fine and didnt sag or anything it just wasnt worth the time to have it not as nice as OEM, IMO.
and with my business and my kids I dont have spare time to wrap it all, hardly have any spare time
