Default 1.5jz, here it goes

Intro

My name is Austin this is my first build, ever. I plan to document it as well as possible for myself and others. Any and all help will be appreciated.

I drive a 1992, factory 5 speed, black/tan SC300. I love this car more than anything, but I feel like it's time for some boost.

Current mods

-new poly bushings (everywhere)
-PBM coilovers
-XXR 521 18x10 +25 all around
-Bride low maxx
-3" exhaust with one resonator (great sound imo)
-Welded Differential (best decision ever)
-a lot of drift spares ( not a mod just fun to have)
the engine

I recently came across the start of a 1.5jz my friend was starting but did not have the time to finish. I scooped it up and hauled it home

It's in great shape, polished head, it has recently been machined along with 2j bottom end. Everything is so clean. It came with adjustable cam gears already installed.

I also picked up a polished intake manifold, throttle body, and FMIC with it.

The things I need
-Injectors
-fuel rail
-turbo
-turbo manifold
-some gaskets
-wastegate
-bov
-fuel management
-head studs
-some misc. parts
-and a lot more things I'm forgetting.

If you see anything major I'm forgetting let me know, I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET.

I'm planning on running the driftmotion 60-1 t4 turbo with the 1jzgte t4 turbo manifold.
Along with their 1jz fuel rail and 550cc injectors.

I'm looking to be in the range of 350+ when I'm done hopefully around 400.
I'm going to push the w58 as long as I can due to my budget and schedule. I'm 21 working full time and balancing school.

This sc is my daily so I plan to stack as many parts as possible (more suspension parts also such as Battle version arms, and links) and get the engine put together outside of the car then drop it in.

I'll get some pictures up later of the head and block.

Thanks guys I look forward to this build I've been doing my research every night but there's just so much info out there it gets confusing.

-thanks Austin

that goal will be easily achieved once you go single. if your only shooting for that much, might as well just get 440's and drop them in. with 550 injectors you'll be able to reach up to the high 400's. you should look at getting another fuel pump too. such as a walbro or aeromotive or even bosch to name a few

I've got a walbro on the way, I'm on a quest for the right injectors/rail.

I'm going single also, I figured might as well start off in right direction.
I was going to go na-t until I found this engine

I'll be picking up my intake manifold/throttle body/ and FPR this Wednesday.

Also I work 6-7 days a week so I'll try and stay updated as much as possible

Thanks man, I can't wait to get this all together, and I hope some of the guys who've done 1.5's and 1jz's give me some tips.

I know I know, pics or gtfo! Thanks for the kind words, I know this thing is going to start off as a mild build but It'll eventually turn into a mass build.

I am, ive been looking for the right 86 since i was 18. This could be my 21st birthday present to myself.

And thats sucks was it a real trueno? There was an incredible, immaculate one for sale in va, a while back I would of given my left nut for.

welp the 86 got sold from under me. :/

in about 2 weeks I'm hopefully going to go on a drift motion shopping spree if I can't find a hx30 or something similar in my area. I'm trying to save as much as possible so this thing can get dropped in and hit the streets.
