well at least you found the issue thats good news. I wonder if you can use the GE clutch and the GTE fan if you have your old one laying around.

The most I've seen my water temp at was 205 after doing several pulls back to back. Cruising I'm around 180ish. I'm running an aluminum fluidyne and a stock modded neck. Not sure if that helps ya at all in any way tho.

Well I might have been wrong on the clutch fan even though I ordered a new one. After doing a pull or two I pulled over to check the fan and see if its sounds any different with the temps around 200. As I pull the revs up you can clearly hear the fan. That sound of a truck with its fan on but not as loud. Not sure what else it could be????

This weekend I hope to get an under tray made up if the metal supply shop is open. I also wonder if the two oil coolers I have sitting on the condenser is playing a big factory on this? Not sure if moving them away from the condenser will change much?

Anybody else have any thoughts??

Here is a pic of the two coolers on the condenser.

Maybe like you said, it might just need better directional flow through the radiator with the new coolers in front of it and now thicker IC core. Make a new air dam to force air through it better, less turbulence. Those coolers are covering a good portion of the radiator.

If the under tray does not help, the next thing to do would be to move the coolers closer to the intercooler and a few inches away from the condenser.

oh wow, those oil coolers are quite large and 2 of them in front of the condensor is too much cause there is an intercooler in front of those. I doubt the fan can pull enough cool air through the condensor like that. I would try sticking one of those in the passenger fender area at the very minimum or going down to one, do you need both of those? drivers side is kind of tight but if you can put one on each fender area that woulkd be the best so the condensor gets air right after the intercooler. if the fender area is not cooling htem enough just strap a small e-fan pusher style to the front of them. the under tray might not help or even might make it worse how its setup right nowas it can only pull air from the front but that air is already hot by the time it gets there.

You got a lot of stuff going on there.....just think about it intercooler, 2 coolers, condensor, and then the radiator....

I would put the coolers somewhere else.....im sure you are restricting the air flow......

Drivers side cooler is for the engine oil and passenger side is for trans which than feeds to another cooler with a efan on the passenger side air damn. I deff need both trans coolers to keep the transmission happy. with one trans cooler, the transmission would over heat. I tried to do a similar setup as Gerry's red car for oil coolers but only differance is his are a few inches away from the condenser.

Passenger side trans cooler.

Ill move them up closer to the IC. Pacowboy, I'm assuming your on a a340 trans? Mines a th400 and they don't like the higher rpms which cause them to heat up a little more. The one cooler just couldn't hang.

Ya I kinda figured with the turbo400 you may need the 2nd cooler.

Gerry, not sure. I have a new one coming from toyota but the other day when temps reached 200, I immediately got out to rev up the car via throttle body to see if the clutch fan is actually engaged. And to my surprise is it. Its noticeably loader as you rev the car.

Well still no luck.. moved the oil coolers closer to the Intercooler opening up the condenser/radiator inlet for air flow. Same temps with no change.
