Default More on this patch harness?

don't want to hijack your thread, but this is GREAT info! (all of it, not just the AEM thing!)

this is what biggu did, and it's the best way of you ask me. gte patch harness from tweak that goes from 1jz to 2jzgte ecu and plug up an aem v1 on it and have you car running in 7mins.

i have plenty of maps for various setups!

PLEASE tell me about this! I have a brand new 1900 AEM v1 and a 92 sc with a 1jz swap. (bought it as an UNRUNNING project last week. This patch harness sounds like EXACTLY what I need!

This is what I'm doing and if you call them it will be much easier. Tweak answered all of my questions and gave me a clear path for making this swap easy and possible.

Ok I need clutch setup suggestions. This will be a weekend warrior drift car with some occasional drag. I have a stock pressure plate and I heard those are pretty sturdy but that you can't use certain aftermarket clutches with them. I was thinking about using my pp and going with the drift motion act 6 puck

Any suggestions are helpful. Please provide you suggestion and let me know the pros and cons. (Harsh/Chatter)

I also need a flywheel

I have an ACT Stage 4 6 Puck on my R154. Haven't been able to try it out yet, as I'm still in the process of finishing up my swap, but once it's done I'll let you try it out. If you have any questions hit me up.

Act , rps and act depending on what stage you get will chatter and will be harsh.

Southbend, clutchmasters, and competion will be work great.

I think I added you on Facebook. That would be cool if I could test it out. What ECU and fuel setup did you go with?

I've got the stock MT Soarer ECU, and stock fuel. For now. Come tax season I'm going to try to go Single S366, TT Denso Fuel Pump, FIC 850CC Injectors, and I'm still deciding what I'm going to use for tuning.

Horsepowerfreaks sells Southbend clutches. I used to have one on my GSX. They are really great clutches, and feel close to stock pedal wise.

AndysAutoSport.com for the clutchmasters clutches. I have used just about everything out there and have had good luck with all of them. I had a clutchmaster clutch go bad after about 6000 miles. It wasn't the clutches fault, my buddy installed it incorrectly and clutchmasters replaced it at no charge. I am going to stick with them unless something strange happens!

I started a thread about different clutch setup for the r154.

Call southbend and talk to andy or dave and they will hook you.

What kind of power are you trying to made and what will the be use for drag, highway killer, drift?

We have a couple vendors on here that carry clutchmasters, and competition, try assaultech andbtalk to dan.

Is the one that's available on Ebay?

I'm primarily using this car for a daily with maybe a drifting and drag session once a month. Many here say to get a race clutch but to avoid a 6 puck because they're harsh. Your thoughts on that?

Update:

I've decided to stay on the safe side (for now) and plan for 400hp or close to it. Doesn't make sense to begin drifting in a 500hp to me. Eventually I'll make my way up with time. I've purchased some Aristo 440cc injectors and an ECU. I'm selling my Soarer wire harness and go with a custom one from Dr. Tweak.

Goals for December and January are to save up for my 6262 DM kit, head gasket, and a new clutch.

Get the full face 8 pad design it will hold the power all day long and last you.

My SB feremic disc had 75% life left on it after 9k miles, plenty of highway runs.

I wouldnt get a 6puck..

You can build you own turbo kit with quality parts so why go DM?

One last thing I would stay away from precision if I were you.

Just google precision turbo failure and see what comes up.

Gl.
