About 8 weeks after the break until I could start putting weight on my leg. Probably took another 4-6 weeks of physical therapy to get feeling normal-ish again. Right now, its been 4 months since the break and there is still swelling, but nothing that would impede my day-to-day activities. Still can't do any impact sports for 2-3 more months

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I will try to have a small update up tomorrow.

Look real great after slamming the car.

BTW, what did the big guy do to modify the fender? I saw air tool cutting disk and hammer. Just wonder exactly what and where in the fender that has been modified...

Front: Made a cut in the bumper tab, then we hammered it up away from the wheel. There is a zip tie there now instead of the bolt. Also cut away some pieces of fender liner to minimize rubbing.

Rear: Cut the bumper tab and a little of the rear bumper to minimize rubbing. We also cut the random screws that were sticking down at the top of the fender well.

Oh and all 4 corners were obviously rolled flat prior to this also.

Hey thanks for sharing! So, did that eliminate all the rubbing?

I only rub on really hard dips and bumps now.

Here's the small update as promised: I decided to wash my car on Friday before driving my roommate to go look at a car he wanted to buy (subaru 2.5rs). I finish up cleaning the wheels and I get a call from him saying he's running an hour late. I decide to go ahead and install the outer tail lights that have been sitting for a few days. It was a quick install (~30mins). It was pretty uneventful except that I dropped my 10mm socket back there somewhere and have no idea where it went. Spent a couple minutes looking for it and then gave up.

Pic:

Also installed a little Garson D.A.D. and picked up some more Junction Produce goodies today, so I'll have some interior shots coming up soon.

Yup, lol. Didn't know you were on here. Nice seeing you yesterday; it was a bummer that I couldn't stay longer though.

On a side note: Mayday Garage has some pics of my car in their newest blog post!

New update:

Not much has changed with my car besides a ton of interior goodies, which I don't have any pictures of yet. I did meet Danh from Mayday Garage and gave him a ride to Chicago's biggest monthly meet: FNL Saturdays. He took some pics of my car and others if you want to check the link posted above.

Here is a picture of the transport crew for JDM Chicago:

About 2 weeks later 09/23/12, I went to Automass Chicago, which is a huge show and drifting event. This was my first time showing this car and everything went great. I ended up winning best lexus and best stance at the show. Judge was blown away when he tried to stick a credit card between my rear quarter and the tire and it didn't fit! He asked if I was on bags and was even more surprised to hear I was static and I didn't rub much at all.

Pics from the show:

You can see the garson mink chain and sort of see the JP neck pillows I added in this pic:

Loving the IS-F tails:

A picture of some of the JDM Chicago staff cars staged in front of the booth:

A picture of me, right after I won the first trophy:

Thanks to those that are still following my build/story! I will try to get pics of my interior up sometime this week.
