Wow haven’t put an update on the build in a while. Car has been running strong until my mistake last week SMH. Car was running rich at idle 13.4 so I changed the plugs with a smaller gap. Still was running rich UNTILLLLL I found the unplugged O2 sensor laying on the turbo manifold.

So being excited like a kid on Christmas I plugged the O2 sensor back in. Turned the key to power and quickly noticed smoke by the ECU. As quickly as i turned the key on I turned it off. I soon noticed the O2 sensor wiring 2 heater wires/1 white were fused together.

Bottom line I shorted something out and the car won’t start it will crank but not turn over. Anyone have any idea what fuse it could be?

Been doing some research on stand-alones and piggy backs. I came across the ECUmaster det3 piggy back. This piggy back unit has some features that are pretty persuasive for a simple street daily tune. Anyone have experience with these?

Any Safc is to much money for old technology in my opinion. What the heck a used safc 2 is going for 200+ on eBay

Im not to aware about the ECU Master but i saw a few good reviews on supra forums about them. But if you do decide to go with a standalone let me know. I can get some good prices on Haltech and AEM.

TJ do you know anyone that can tune ECUmaster around town. From my findings on this piggy back is way more advance than my OG SAFC. It’s almost an compact standalone. Look it up and see what you think ( ECUmaster det3 ). How do you like your aem infinity and who tuned it?

Ya i heard about the ECUmaster and seems pretty legit. I dont know anybody locally that would be able to tune it though. Im sure any tuner would be able to tune it since its pretty much like tuning other ecu/piggybacks. I had Felix Tuned tune my car and its a pretty legit platform. I dont have any issues or complaints.

Haven’t posted in a while but the car is still not running correctly. These are my symptoms, first the car will not start with out me pressing on the gas gas to push it along.

When end the car is running afrs start at 14.8 and dumped to full 10 on Aem wideband

The car will rev but literally does the 2step thing all the way to 6k with hesitation

map sensor is new
plugs were changed since the old plugs were completely black

This has all happened ever since I plugged in the O2 sensor that was melted together
I have changed this with a mustang O2 sensor

spliced the mustang o2 sensor to OEm wiring with butt connectors

Had some help over on supraforums.com our o2 sensor wiring is connected to the iacv. If my wiring shorted out the iacv will have a short in the last position during the short. So in my case it’s staying closed therefore the hard start and the extremely rich AFR

Ugh sad to say but I might just be getting rid of the SC soon. I am looking for a 2001-2005 IS300 manual in jersey or somewhere on the east coast. If I can’t find a manual I think I’m going to pull apart the SC and manual swap the IS300. Sucks saying this but the family is growing and I need four doors.

Anyone know now if I can fit my evo rear brakes on the IS300 and my manual pedal set?

Welp I kept the SC since the Wife picked up a new ride turbo AWD. So I said heck with it and bought some well needed parts to get her moving again. Picked DM aem infinity with pnp harness, 6 1nzfe coils and I also made a custom iacv block off
