I agree with the polishing...pain in the butt, so if you decide to switch out the polished pieces for chrome, I'm game.
Also, are you going to be around this week or weekend at your Duluth location? I want to stop by and take a look at some of your parts for sale. Just picked up a 92 SC300 5spd hardtop waiting to get boosted. Let me know, this is Jason, who bought several parts from you in the past. I also have the white 95 SC400 Supercharged that I came to your house in.

^^^ With your goal of embarassing the newer Corvettes , Camaros and Mustangs .. you will need to have a built 800rwhp car so it can be reliable and you don't have to worry about its internals every time you push it. The stock internals will hold on to 700rwhp all day . I have seen +900rwhp on stock internals . But once you start abusing that 700rwhp car , I would rather go aftermarket internals otherwise you will be on borrowed times. It really all depends on how you will use or abuse that car. I always say , "Do it right , once . It might take time to get there gathering all the parts you need but do it right the first time so you don't waste time and money in the long run and you get to enjoy your car with better reliability"
Call me tomorrow . I will see you before the weekend since I will be in the South for the weekend. Have you sold that supercharged SC400 ?

my rule of thumb has always been - build a car power for more than you gonna use
example if you want a 600hp car build you car to handle 750 to 800hp
always build more but use less
just my .02 cents

I am always happy when I see people harness the potential of the SC. Well , that's the main reason I have them after all , to have sleeper cars I can use to surprise owners of newer , fast and very expensive cars and have them scratching or shaking their head wondering what the hell is on my old car . It has put countless smiles on my face since I started having them . Our SCs, having a lot of design similarities with the MKIVs , allow us to transform them into some mean machines.
IF it is just looks or a mere transportation , there are a lot better looking and cheaper to maintain vehicles than our SCs. But it is them having that potential that attracted me to them. That is why every time I hear a local guy wanting to build a fast SC , I don't mind sharing what I know and even helping many times. 95% of the people I meet locally and who go to my place (both forum and non forum members) have boosted SCs. And I am not talking about a handful of people , I am talking about a lot of them . I just love hearing them talk about speed and how much power they want to attain with their build. Many of these are young kids less than 28 years of age and yet you see them work hard to build their fast car.

Yesterday , I found a way to install my front undercover with louvers on the Red Mamba 2 that will help in directing fresh air to the inter-cooler and ac condenser. It somehow will help keep mud / road debris away also aside from the cooling effect. Remember the cooler you get the charged air into the engine more power . Now I would need to find a good engine under cover . My plastic under cover ain't that good anymore.
For the past two years I have been using the Red Mamba 2 without a turbo timer . Before shutting down a turbo car , you have to idle it for a minute or two to protect your turbo by letting it cool down and cooler oil flow through it . So I did work on a harness for a Greddy Turbo timer so I can install it .....then a friend who dropped by told me that my Viper GPS / Smartstart / Security system that I have on Red Mamba 2 has the damn Turbo Timer feature that you just have to enable and set the time you want the car running after you remove your key . I had it all along and never took advantage of it and all those wasted minute or two waiting for turbo to cool down before shutting off the engine. That is what you get when you don't read the user manual in full when you install something .
So now this Greddy Turbo Timer will go on the Old Man Tan SC

Gerry, I bought a nice laser cut aluminium under tray for my car it its actually really nice for the price at 125.
You can find it at jzz30.com Fast shipping as well. I plan to add onto this one for the bumper tray like factory but I have to figure out how to incorporate the louvers into it.

Red Mamba 2 is my only 2jzGTE toy without an ignition amplifier . After more than 2 years and 14k miles , I have started getting it ready for an aftermarket twins setup and more boost , found an HKS DLI which was for sale at $100 shipped so I grabbed it.
Received it yesterday in the mail and this morning installed it. Just need to find ways how to mount my Igniter and the HKS DLI now since I have shaved all the holes with thread on that area .

Hahaha , I don't even have my Toyota toys and Pickup trucks key chain there . That is another set of 7 keys and some remotes, lmaol.
I will be available Wednesday or Thursday mid afternoon . Heading to Texas after that for the Super Bowl . You never know our Falcons might just make it and be historical so got to be there.
Hey Gerry, I didn't sell the supercharged SC, yet. Its something I've been debating since picking up the SC 300 5spd. I would love to build both.... but the fiancé wants her garage spot back lol. We shall see. Let's try to get up this week since I will be heading to TN the following week for work.
