Looking great Kody.

Any chance of a guide on what it took to remove the armrest please mate?

Need to get mine off soon for re-trimming.

Cheers!

Very simple only 2 small screws under near ur arm rest. Remove the leather arm rest out and put the new alcantara and put back the lips and the 2 screws. U can swap it in 5 minutes 😍

Hey Kody.

So removal was very quick and simple as you suggested.

Question is, how do you remove the inner plastic part from the armrest cover? Would prefer to remove it before I send mine to Cobra for re-trimming, but can't see any easy way to split them??

Wasn't sure what you planned to do with your original one? If you aren't intending on selling it, maybe you can have a go at getting it apart? Weren't any screws I could see? Do we think it's glued in place?

Sorry to ask, but hope you can help.

Cheers.

So the seat company took a look at the armrest, and decided they can't take it apart to recover it in the new leather with the matching blue diamond stitch to complement the seats!

As a gesture of goodwill, they are however sending me the matching panels and leather I need to do the work.

May try and grab a cheap one from another IS to experiment with. They felt that as the cover had been bonded to the covering, they didn't want to try and remove it in case it broke the plastic inner piece.

Shame, but can't say I'm surprised! Nothing on this car has ever been straightforward!

The information I got was that Mackin was expecting a container to arrive at their warehouse on the 28th. Consider yourself lucky, my wheels are in 2 seperate containers which gets here on 2 different dates.
