Acc to the butt dyno, it's slightly faster than the E55.
Im afraid to take the RX to the track as the driveshaft/diff is weak in these cars. Not till i reenforce it.
It puts down 430whp at 15psi. I pulled the turbo out to rebuild and redo fuel system to run more boost. It's on a Apexi Power FC stand alone.

The E55 puts down 503 whp and 580wtq. Its the family car. The E55 runs high 11's at 120 mph

Depends on what your goals are.

When i bought this car, the previous owner hacked up the wiring for a some chinese radio. He left me with no slack to put in a stock radio.
So anyways Installed an AVIC D2 this past week that i had sitting in my garage for a while.
I bypassed the stock amp hoping to get sound just out of the speakers. but i i ended up with this buzzing noise coming from the alternator. It actually drained the car and i drove home (a few blocks) on battery alone
The car is grounded correctly right to the chassis, so i couldnt figure out how i ended up.
After consulting many stereo guys.
I decided to purchase a aftermarket alpine amp and will rewire the speakers from there.

Well my build is going to take longer than i thought
My entire tax return is going to pay off a loan i had on my house which came up unexpectedly.
In any event, my buddy was so inspired by my car...he bought a 97 SC300 almost exactly like mine
Rims are different, and he has stock exhaust. But he is lowered on JIC Coils and has aftermarket rims that he hates....

I found it! And just for the record, I wanted an SC for a very long time. The C32 got in the way of things. Now had I never gotten that car, wouldn't of met you and Che.

any plans for a swap? all the work so far looks great! I wish i had an opportunity for a black interior! Maybe try adjusting your coil over stiffness to avoid some of the rubbing? I adjusted the damper on my ez coils when I was rubbing and noticed it helped a little bit over the bumps......you end up feeling all of the little bumps but I don't think its that bad coming from a 240 lmao

how much did that gps/headunit run if you don't mind me asking? I'm really considering getting one soon. Also do you need an external amp to run it?....or did you just do that because of the previous owner's mess up on the wiring?

Looking at doing a swap but may also consider going NA-T with AEM standalone and TT Headgasket/ injectors. I'm at the middle setting on my coils. My car clears parking curbs so it's not too low. But the front of the car is pretty long so driveway approaches are still tough. I'm going to get the wheels dialed in one or two degrees to help tuck the rims tuck into the wheel wells

The HU is six years old and it's features are pretty dated. I bought it on Amazoon for $200. I chose to go with an External Amp also on Amazon for $160. You don't have to but I had a really bad alternator whine. It killed my alternator on the way home and I had to limp the last few miles home. My stereo guy made a custom doubled insulted ground.

I showed him the thread on how you can keep your stock amp and subwoofer. But on his suggestion I went with the Alpine Monochannel Amp. He charged me $150 to wire it up

It does look pretty good
