Really trying to aim for over 700whp on C16. I guess I'll settle if it's only around mid 600's. Pump gas, I'm guessing around 500-ish whp.

700whp on race fuel is realistic, especially with that turbo. I'm making just over 500 right now on pump gas with a slipping auto and low boost

Update: 1/5/2012

Got around to working on the intercooler piping. Some preview pix. I'll be finished tomorrow and hopefully get the car ready to fire up.

I don't know why, but I just like the look of pie cut IC piping.

A quick mock up and tack weld of the turbo/hot side piping. This is the outlet pipe coming out of the turbo.

Finished and I did a light polish on it. I need to polish a bit heavier to get rid of the white lines around the weld bead.

Inside of the pipe. Very nice and smooth transition. This is after welding. I managed to keep the burn through and overheating to a minimum.

Here's the cold side pipe right before the throttle body. Had a bit of difficulty making this piece. Had to re-tack it a few times to get the angle exactly right. The clearance on the intake side is insanely tight. I'll have pix of this installed tomorrow.

Welding finished with a light polish.

More updates to come tomorrow!

holy, you need to practice welding lol. pie cuts are super time consuming too, could you have used a 90 and a 45 to do that same pipe?

Yeah my welding still needs more practice. For the pipe, if you saw the clearances on the side right before the throttle body, yeah it had to be done this way. Mandrel bent pipe have too big of a radius to fit. It's hard to see in the picture, but that pipe actually turns 3 times, not just a simple 90+45.

I had a silicone hose before that was that shape, i know what you mean, it's a tight squeeze. when i switched my rads and used slimmer fans i had a bit more room to work with.

This is said practice... Just gotta jump in and do it at some point.

These cost a fortune to have made anywhere as the labor hours of both the welding time and test fitting is tremendous.

Nice progress on the build!

Sorry haven't updated in a while. Car was just finished a few days ago and it's been down for almost 4 months now lol. I've been cruising and driving everywhere the past few days just enjoying the car.

As for some updates, how about some videos?
