who did the wiring? i live in miami and im trying to look for someone to fix my wiring ... i have the same set up tht u have... everything is the same...

Curious at the 10k figure? Did you build internals first? It's a 1jz which is cheaper then a 2jz. I just finished my 2jz vvti swap and was nowhere close to that!

Maybe not but at the least its rare and has a good base for more hp. IMO the 1jz looks to be at home in the IS more so then the 2jzgte.

It all depends on what you have done. I did this swap in 2008 and has spent 20k easily because this swap requires custom work. On my swap i used a custom manifold , custom wiring, custom polished piping,tranny upgrade, custom standalone ect ect $$$$$$$. Not to mention tuning lol. So you WILL spend about 10k minimum unless you are buying all used parts and doing all the work yourself....

1JZ with VVTI is about the same price as a 2JZ. the non vvtis are cheaper.

also compare apples to apples. yours is a DIY install. he paid a shop. so labor costs are included. plus youre running stock twins, hes running a single

also some guys buy their motors and just drop them in. no maintenance. no refresh of the motor

I'd like to know how much you would pay for a swap like Dex stated the motor drops in but you need to custom make a manifold, piping, etc....
and this is on pump gas (93 octane) @16psi lets see what you make with a stock bottom end 1J

Speed tuned the car... He's the tuner that tunes SFT Supra, Big Daddy's Supra, Charles 2JZ powered S2000. All the cars are in the 7's and low 8's

Crisspeed did the wiring and tuned the car he works out of AWD in coral springs
