i like the idea but why 3/8" that's pretty beefy for just a cover.
....can i trace your template onto some cardboard one of these days and try making one out of a thinner gauge alum? please?

nice Vin! well 3/8s is good cause it will actually take the beating. if u use thinner aluminum then itll just tear right through. pretty sure he thought of that before and dunno why u didnt.

lol 3/8 to protect the oil pan. I would take it off and let you trace it but instead of re-using the factory screws that held on the plastic guard in the front I replaced it with a bolt / nut and its a btch to put it back on
Unless you want to trace it while its still on the car, that would work if we have access to a lift

trunk is going to take awhile, I'm in the process of getting all my new suspension pieces dialed in first before I finish up the trunk
Gotta install my poly bushings too =\

I got some parts in today! Adus polyurethane bushings for front strut rod, rear trailing arm, and rear axle carrier. Stoptech rear stainless lines and new front lower ball joints. Gonna get custom front stainless lines made by lextreme on thursday, couldnt find anyone that made it for my year

good luck with the ADUS front strut rod bushings, Hope you have better luck with them than i did.
i've got a new pair of OEM bushings waiting for when i rebuild my front susp to swap out the old ADUS.

the ride was a little rough but not too bad at all, the bigger problem is that because the bushing is a hard poly compound the damn things squeak CONSTANTLY. i tried both silicone-based spray lube and moly/teglon grease and none of them quieted it down.
couple other members had similar issues, and since you can now get the OEM Rubber bushings from lexus for ~$35-45 each there isn't much point to the ADUS imho. (when i got adus back in the day there was no oem option short of buying new bars)

when i placed the order, they included some prothane bushing grease. Not sure if I should use that brand of grease though. I did a search and ppl were saying good things about the motul tech grease 300
i had used that when the bushings where installed into the arms.
didn't do much after a month or so.
what you could try if you're dead set on using them is having the bars drilled and modded for a zerk fitting, and grease them time to time.
