the LS1's overall potential seemed more appealing especially for simple bolt-on performance.
Im still at a toss up if Im going f/i or not. I have a GT4088 here that would be perfect @ 7-8psi, and the cam I chose will work great either n/a or f/i. But time will tell, and if I do decide to go f/i, it wont be till sometime mid-July 2011.

WOW I just came across this, I'm actually planning a LS1 build too, no joke maybe LS3 if I can cough up the money, but starting it sometime mid next year as I currently have other financial commitments.
My plans are definately for force induction TT LS seen some good numbers from it.

When I was planning to go RX-7 LS-1, Hinson Supercars was the conversion kit I was going to get. They've started making Turbo kits for the LS-1 RX-7's, not sure but if there are any fitament issues with other kits you might want to try this system out:
