Kpeds build thread :D
Yea made the body shop do it over again because the other fenders still rubbed, but the body shop didnt understand how i wanted it and came up with this. They did this without my consent and now pretty much stuck with this since they wont do it over a third time. Idk how i feel about it because its so much body work when it not necessary, and it might look tacky or ricer as a result.
Looks kinda like a widebody. IMO your original pull/bodywork looked better because the rear quarters matched the front fenders. Why did you have to take it back there in the first place? Was it rubbing and you just wanted more pull?
The way they made the fenders was all wrong. My car would rub if i had four people in the car, and the wheels were not flush or even close to being as low as i wanted. I tried to explain to this guy how i wanted it, but instead he said it looked ugly and decided on this. I never told him to make it like this, but now Im stuck with this because he refuses to do it over again and Ive been out of a car for almost two months, and idk if i can wait another two for it to be done all over again.
Maybe they flared the lip too much with at too sharp of an angle? When I had my quarters pulled/body worked, my guy pulled the quarter panel wheel opening more than he flared the lip. It seems like it made more room that way. The lip was just slightly flared and it seems to have room. Not sure on your wheel specs, but your set up does look more aggressive than mine. I was on a 19x10 +12 with 265/30's. no rubbing in the rear.
The hardest part though is that now since the size and shape of his pull is different, he has to re-do the fronts too so that they match. True story, you can now run a wider, more aggressive set up. Which fortunately or unfortunately.......depending on how you look at it, may require a new wheel set up.

Idk hopefully your right I'm probably gonna get my car back some time this week, ill put up pics asap.
WTF! That shop did a civic wide body on it :-( I'm with machete guy on this. I used to work at a body shop and been doing body and paint for years and by the pics, that's not acceptable. Get a lawyer because those bastards owe you new qtr panels and doors... Or trade cars with pham ;-) I loved the look before
damn kevin. it was good the first time, should just told them to pull the indention from before a bit then repaint.... that was where it was rubbing. Join me on the wider wheels!!!
kevin i just read it all over. u know the fold that was rubbing inside ur quarter panel, u coulda just hammered the hump in so it has clearance. damn u shoulda told me sooner. i did it to my car after i did a pull and it sitll rubbed until i did that...
Here's some pics, I'm not one who likes to hide his car's flaws and let me say I dont like this "widebody"? But im kinda stuck with it
Anyways tada......
