Wondering if there's that much of a difference between the sport susp and the F sport, in terms of front.
Not sure what you mean there...
If you mean sway bars- the sport suspension doesn't have different bars from the normal suspension.... the only differences from the non-sport suspension to the sport suspension are the shocks and springs.
the sport suspension shocks and springs are firmer than the normal suspension, and the front springs are 0.4 inches lower, but the springs are still linear.
the F-sport shocks and springs offer a bit more drop, and are progressive (which I'm not a fan of)
How much does lowering cost all together? Don't I need to get Coilovers and stuff
depends on how low you want to go. you can go a cheaper route and just get lowering springs. it's not gonna be an agressive drop like you might be thinking, but it will be a lot cheaper. i think i paid like $200 for springs one time-where as coilovers can go up into the thousands depending on brand. congrats on the new ride. i remember my first lex!
Its because of dumb decisions like this that the state of California is falling apart.
Everyone in California lives beyond their means. Thank god its not like that in Dallas Texas, the only state not affected by a bad economy. I love cheap living expenses, no state taxes, and Dallas was the number 1 city that more people moved to last year more than any city in the country, and is considered most desirable for future development.
Car looks great. Too bad about the price tag. you could have gotten a fully built Nissan 300ZX TT or a newer Nissan 350Z, or a Supra.
But thats ok, you really wanted that high class look or but non of the power

^^^ That's what I meant, Kurtz, thank you. For some reason I thought the sport package had sport sways. Good to know that they are not, because now I won't have any regrets when I get the F-Sport sway.
^^^ off the topic, but what does "progressive" mean/do? does it mean spring completely settle after a while?
No, properly manufactured and installed springs don't settle.
Linear means the spring has the same rate at all points
Progressive means the rate of the spring changes depending on how compressed it is.
This leaves you with a compromise that's not great at anything, is harder to predict the behavior of, and is virtually impossible to match a correct shock to since the rate changes depending how it's driven.
But it lowers the car and most people who don't know better assume lower=always better.
Progressive springs can be a good compromise for those who daily drive their cars. On the streets, the difference in comfort will outweigh the benefit of predictability. As long as the spread of the rate isn't too dramatic, it can offer a good balance.
