Idk. I was just going over getting one with my brother today. After my goals are accomplished with the isf a GTR might be next. Hopefully elete can break into the next level with the ISF

Sum1 tell me it'll be ok
I am also curious to know what the plans for a transmission are. 750WHP is an awful lot of power to attempt to push out of a stock lexus transmission (just an assumption). I have also heard that the issue with traction is somewhere in the driveline, So Im curious to see how far they actually take this build not to mention how far the functionality goes above being able to swing big nuts.

Do we actually know what the fail rate for the tranny/drivetrain is? I know that the new M3s have a lower rating for the DCT than the manual.

You need not worry
what size tires do you have? I wonder if spacers would help..

Yeah, How much power/Torque will the 8 speed take? What about the Stock vs LSD diff?

This is going to be a nice build. I wonder if people start to build these things up, if the oil squirters stay cause they all seem to disappear when the HP goes up. Until people start to actually put some numbers down, no one will know... and it'll be more of a guessing game. GLWB.

Stock size. One thing we should keep in mind is that the issue isnt Hp. Im just hoping the transmission holds up. Feels great with my current power level but you never know whats going to happen under that much stress

My predictions. If the car makes 750whp the transmission will last a long time for one reason......No traction lol

I don't think we should have to worry about our tranny's. Lexus made a sports car. They had to of known we were going to mod it. The toyota supra's tranny can handle over 900 hp stock. I think we should be able to hit 750 with a car that has 100 more hp from the factory. We are talking about toyota/lexus quality here guys. I don't think the tranny itself will be the problem. Maybe somewhere else in the driveline a problem will arise.

How about this. When the project is done just brake it on the dyno. Slowly go up in power until it says no mas. Then let us know what the number was lol

If that is the case then explain why the car is so UNmod friendly, the ecu is impossible on the usdm models...
As far as the trannys go on these cars I understand they're different, but on my IS350 when I had a 100 shot of nitrous for less than a year and on more than one occasion noticed my transmission slipping during normal driving.
And IINM the supra 6 speed that can handle over 900 hp stock was made by Getrag, Not toyota.

750WHP might be a little over kill for my use. I'd be happy with 500-600whp for a daily driver....

Wow....Traction will be a huge problem with that hp.

I think 600whp will still be a problem. We will end up with a dyno queen or a freeway racer--which is cool--but how about traction for "stop sign to stop sign."

I'd be happy with 450-500whp.
