Default 1jZ build/swap - New guy

Purchased a 93 SC400 I am Currently Converting to 5spd and Already have my 1JZ (w/ R154) on a stand replacing the basic's (water pump,Head gasket,Valve Stem seals,Cam/Crank seals,etc)

Now,..I'm planning to go ahead NOW and Put a Single (Driftmotion 57 trim Kit - quick Spool) on it to start, seeing as I think my Twins are Blown - (oil leaking Like Crazy out of both ends)w/o even trying them.

What would you recommend Doing, with so much that I am,to get it Running correctly and in 1 shot and Just drive it.
meaning:

***Still have to wire the 1jz up and get it to start***Plan to wire it myself
I got some JDM 440's
Single Turbo
FMIC
I guess a safc to Run injectors correctly (no standalone but would Love a ROM TUne if ANyone Knows who does them)
12v mod + Walbro & Fuel Dampner bypass line w/ Aeromotive FPR.

I am Not looking for ALL OUT Power with this car
(obviously why I got only 440's and SAFC) - Just something in the 330+/-whp range if that.No Crazy Boost, but use able Power - Not a Highway car (see below). car will be a daily.

I am trying to make it somewhat simple out of the gate, to avoid Hunting Gremlins (been there done that) as well as Swapping Injectors, turbos while the motors in the car.Why I also didn't opt for 550's and resistor to prevent further Delima's.
Pulling the wire harness out of the Intake mani was a Nightmare on an engine stand - let alone if the motor was in!!Brittle, brittle

Am I headed in the right direction for this build to be trouble free?

gonna start this week w/ 12v Mod and a Walbro to already have that GOing Now!
BTW: this is not my 1st Build but 1st real Breakdown of a 1jz + Lexus.

Prev vehicles:
(93 Hardtop TT 6speed - T78 Single 550whp,etc etc)

my 1st 91 "180sx" SR,etc etc
- Drift Build GT2860,etc
Both together Before i sold 1.

So on a and so forth.....

Thanks guys/gals

I say get the car running right with the stock twins on all the stock components, then start the mod process. I've found that jumping into something like this can cause alot of headaches down the line. Wiring isnt too bad but sometimes these cars get *****y, so you can eliminate a lot of headaches by just trying to get the car running perfect on all the stock stuff that you know works.

I am also going single on my setup and I just got everything running great.

BTW, sick pupra you have there....curious why you chose to go with a SC after having something like that?

Thanks guys!Thats just a fefw of the cars I've owned and modded -:350z,ITR,etc.
Sold the Supra back in oct 08 to get rid of a car payment + it was so nice (Hardtop=rare) I just couldn't handle if anything happened to it but I came out Really good on the Sale - Trust me.Wanted to Build a track car,or car I could beat on for once.

Been into Nissans lately becasue they are Cheap and Done quiote a bit to them (had an S14 that i just sold to get an SC) - Still love SR20 Simpilicty.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only thing about doing it Stock in the beginning is that Both Turbos when I pulled the pipes off the front and Rears - OIL POURED out heavily like I opened a Drain Plug - so I would imagine on a Journal bearing Turbo - They are Done.So rather than Waste my Time - go ahead and Single it.

TELL ME THIS:
Should I just Throw the Single turbo on there w/ Stock ECU,Injectors etc and Try it that way??
- I'd just hate to swap injectors w/ motor in because of the Stupid mani Thats 1 peice - other than 2JZ intake.

Go single now , When I went single it took 3 people 6 hours to take off the twins and it wasn't pretty in the end but they came off :/ It was PITA,........ my 2 cents

Nice collection! Ya just do all the work you can with the motor out of the car. It'll be much easier.

See,I agree.Intake mani is a bastard to get off - may even Shrink down the wiring In there Just to make it eaiser in the Future.

***I did notice that on just about all of my Coil's they all have small Cracks where the Screws hold them down to the bracket.
Should I JB weld them (I hear any place where the current can escape is why when they are Cracked they cause Issue's) and let em ride - Or buy new.Would rather not right now if I can avoid it.Single is Setting me back.

Working at lexus Has helped so far.Got new Coil pack Connectors (part number matched 1 of our cars) for only $2 ea - hahahah (mine were a tad brittle and 1 broke.

Gonna Check ECU Now to see if the caps and insides are holding up ok.
heard Jester in Florida can re-cap them (if I can't) - as well as they tuned my old EVO for me also.great people.
Also Sending my JDM 440's and Stock 380's to Deatchwerks to have them Cleaned and tested tomorrow - all for $0 - a trade for my Old Stock SR20 injectors.
