any reason for the radiator swap too? would the auto tt one be a better for the gs300?
Yes, the radiator inlet and the front facing intake manifold of the 2jzgte will be on a collision course. You want a radiator that puts the inlet a bit to the side of the intake opening for obvious piping reasons.
I havent been on here to check up in a while. The build looks great.. I have to say, I'm AMAZED that the hotside Y pipe I made worked perfectly with the ABS. My ABS was long gone when I made that. I guess it was meant to be though..
sorry I'm slacking on getting that other Y cut off and shipped out to you. I'll try tomorrow get the exhaust on the chop saw and pack it up, still dont have any sawzall blades at the moment and no cash to buy any til payday.
i wanna hear this puppy start up, and how much was your paint job?
I already posted pictures of the startup. I've driven it on the highway for a a couple of miles, but because of the exaust not connected, I could not really push it any higher than normal driving speed . Its way too loud. I could even feel my earwax vibrating lol . Once the exaust is hooked up, I promise more videos.
For the paint job, its not a professionl job. I just paid for the paint materials which came up close to $500.
well when its running i want numbers pics and vids
watch out for them boost leaks, can't seem to find where mine is can't get it above 3psi
Yeap!. Once this exhhaust is done ( hopefully tomorrow) I can actually drive the car around peacefully and work out any outstanding details.
Your boost leak can be anywhere. Here are a few places I've found them to be in the past :
Couplers ( especially fo the intake ones are old, look for cracks)
> Upper/lower intake manifold gaskets.
> Wastegate stuck open.( we found debri in manifold in one of my friends car and it was holding the wastegate from moving. They were the wleding bits from the flanges.
> Wastegate vacumn hose routing...
haha, yeah as a matter of fact, I was interested in yours, but the no shipping thing did not work for me so I picked up another set. Love the look and hopefully the sound too. I've heard them on my friend's MKIV supra and they sound great.Thanks.

post up a sound clip...turbo vs non-turbo....i bet the turbo will sound better
haha wow Moe looking good. you want to do a 2jzgte swap in my gs3 next? I wish.
Anytime after this month . lol if you want. haha..
Im liking mine so far but haven't driven it much yet. Need to get my hydrofan up to speed for longer drives. Just need to wire in the hydrofan ecu. But I gotta finish these two wiring jobs I have before worrying about my car '
hmm i wonder if a 1jz single turbo swap would fit into the gs3? haha swap the motor over from my supra.
Sure will . just need the front sump oil pan transferred over. and you can get an Aristo harness and run the 1jz with that instead of the 1jz harness. Simpler/easier
