As you guys probally know I finished up the tails and lit them, they are sweet!
I am back at the motor, I am in the process of CC the heads/pistons combo, I just want to be sure before this thing is in the car, better safe than sorry. Its kinda a one step forward two back but thats how these things go.
I did pick up a new clutch/Flywheel combo. The Flywheel is a custom flywheel designd to accept any Supra clutch, should really open up some options. The clutch is a Clutch Masters single disc 8 puck with a sprung hub, should hold about 800 HP. From what I have read on SF the guys running it love it and wish they had went with it sooner. Many have replaced thier twin disc clutch with it and several documented dynos in the 500-600 RWHP. They say it drives sweet and has a stock pedal feel, sounds like what my Lexus needs so I picked it up. The QM is a good clutch but a little grabby and touchy to drive. I will be throwing it up for sale complete with all the custom parts to make it work, all a guy would need is a adaptor ring and they would have a getrag behind thier 1UZFE.
I once had a 79 Fox body pace car. I had it turbo charged throwing about 20 lbs boost on the 302, I miss it! I should have never sold it! That and my 67 mustang fastback are the two I should have kept, guess you cant keep them all. LOL I still have a black 1966 289 coupe with factory air, she is bone stock.
That turbo '79 'Stang Pace car had a pretty "dated" exterior combo(!), would have looked 30 times better in all black w/those headlight covers to match that you have there, imo.
