Exclamation Side mirrors not saving in reverce

hi everyone, i am looking for someone who can explain to me the process of auto lowering the side mirrors when the car is in reverse gear,
so, i open the control panel, put the car in reverse, then regulate the side mirrors in that position that i need, tap the SET and the number, in my understanding all regulating that i did should be saved, but after that when i put the car in reverse again i don't get result im waiting for
PLEASE HELP ME

Only cars with the Memory position settings can set Reversing Mirror positions but....
paradoxically only the "going forward" mirror positions are saved for the 1, 2 and 3 drivers.
The reversing position is set while you are in reverse And the mirrors control button(s) are
selected for either "L" or "R". This position will now be enabled for All drivers when in Reverse.
This position is Not assigned to any of the three (3) memory buttons.

If you center the mirror selector (some models) or touch and turn off both L and R button lights
(other models) then the mirrors will Not tip down when reversing. Useful if you are backing Up
a driveway or ramp.

Be in Reverse (but stopped for safety) and select R then L to adjust each of them.
Check by taking it out of Reverse and watch the mirrors move to one of your three (3) "Going Forward" positions.
Put it back in Reverse to see them dip. If you deliberately or accidentally turn off the mirror selector (or center/level the toggle)
then you have defeated the feature, and they will not dip when in Reverse.

Confirm that you have the Set/1/2/3 Memory system option on your car?

Yeah similar issue here but after I go from reverse to drive, the mirrors go back to a default setting and not my saved 1, 2 or 3 position. I turned off the reverse mirror tilt because I'd rather keep my daily driving setting over the tilt option. It's a weird system and I'm sure I'm just not doing something right.

Mine does the same thing. According to all the information out there, when you set the reverse angle, it’s supposed to remember that, so next time you put it in reverse it sets it at that same angle, but mine doesn’t. It’s almost as if it has a preset factory angle and it revert to that and never remembers the angle that I set I think a lot of the people who have replied on this thread don’t understand what is going on. If I understand you correctly, it has nothing to do with L1 L2 L3 presets it’s literally just the tilt of the mirrors in the reverse mode and I would appreciate any information on how to fix this as well. Thanks for the post.
