lower OEM seat?
Hey guys! I am new to the community and I'm looking into getting a newer (2016?) GS350 but my height is restricting me on headroom (I am 6'6 mostly torso). I was wondering if there was any way that I could lower the seat even an inch to give me more head space without getting a bucket seat instead. I really really like this car and the IS200t but i barely fit in them overall which bums me out.
Hey, I feel you on the headroom issue. You might try having an upholstery shop shave down the seat cushion a bit, or see if a shop can lower the seat rails. Worth checking out before going for a bucket seat. Otherwise, dont know of any other options

I've come up with a few options, buy another drivers seat to pull apart and potentially see what could be modified to lower the height?
Buy aftermarket seat brackets and seats to install and bypass the seat sensors for airbags, heat and whatever else. But where would I buy seat brackets and how to bypass the seat electronics right.
Option 3 is buying a GS F seat from lexus to bolt into my gs350 assuming the gs f seat sits lower than the base gs seats? Even 2 inches I'd be very happy. My only issue is I'd like to test sit in a gs f seat to confirm the height drop before purchasing and also confirm that the wiring harnesses all line up and brackets line up same. If the gsf seat fits straight swap bolt in and is lower by 2 inches then its my best option aside from costing 2000$ Canadian.
Lemmy know what you come up with man cuz i want to keep this car but I'm close to selling since i cant fit in newer models with rubbing my head...
