Default Ceramic coating is “da bomb”!

I’ve never been one to do much with detailing my cars. I usually resorted to automatic car washes and I would occasionally wax it about twice a year. This has worked well for me, I own a 2008 ES 350 with over 200,000 miles on it and it looks like brand new. I recently bought a 2017 ES 350 and being recently retired, I am going “all in” on the detailing. I read all I could about ceramic coating and decided to give it a try. Bought some Cquartz and practiced on my Chevy truck. It was easy to apply and looked good. I proceeded to apply the Cquartz to the Lexus. Looked really sharp!

That was 2 months ago. We recently had snow here in the mountains. After the worst was over, I drove the new ES on two trips (about 200 miles total). Lots of salt water on the road. The ES looked pretty rough. It was too cold to hand wash, so I took it to a manual car wash and used the rinse option and sprayed it for about 2 minutes. I absolutely could not believe how clean the car came. No residue at all left! It was like a fresh wash and wax job. Needless to say, I am now a believer in ceramic coatings!!

Exactly what my friend says about ceramic on his cars. He said it's amazing how the water sheets off the car. How long did it take ya to apply it? I just bought a new 18 GS and contemplating ceramic.

I had it in the garage, so I did it over a couple of days. Probably didn’t spend more than 2-3 hrs. total though. After I finished, I pulled it out in the sun to help it cure and brought it back in the garage at night to keep moisture off of it. They say to keep moisture off of it for at least 24 hrs. It was 7 days before I let any moisture hit it.

if you will watch some YouTube videos, you will see how easy it is.

Good Luck!

Ceramic coatings are spectacular and for those of us who are "car crazy". The results is FREEKIN AMAZING!! It's expensive but the results will cause most car nuts to say--WTF--take my money!!
Best YouTube videos I've found are from the Canadian "Pan The Organizer" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCE0...fjP2982jVH6WkQ It's a labor intensive process from initial wash, decontaminate, iron removal, paint correction, polish then application.
The Car Pro, Jerry Reynolds, says he's used them on his Range Rover's and Corvette's and loved it. Dealers won't allow more on trade but individual buyers will pay more for vehicle with ceramic protection.
I had my '17 Lexus RX 450h F Sport, Ultra White w/black done completely inside and out including all glass and glass panoramic top.
As Dave Kindig says, it's now a *****IN' RIDE!!

Yes, Pan The Organizer's video is very well done - clear and concise. Because I'm Canadian, I smile often at his very slight French-English accent!!
Just inquired with various CQuartz application specialists in Vancouver, Canada - the 2 yr warranty application costs $1295 CAD, the highest package costs approx $2000 CAD.
I wonder if its considerably cheaper in the US - I could just slip across the border and get it done.

Welcome to the ceramic life, it really does work. I also like the glassy look some of these coatings provide and I also notice a lot less junk bonded to my paint, my rinse less washes also work that much better and it takes less time to reset the car back to tip top shape.

Easy! I just bought the Cquartz kit (50 ml bottle and asessories) for under $75 on Amazon. Did it myself. Very easy! Just retired and needed something to do!! Worked out great.

I may be late to the "dance" but, after having my new RX 450h F Sport with clear-bra including mirrors, Ceramic Coated, WOW!! What an amazing transformation!! As the star of Velocity TV's Richard Rawlings of Gas Monkey Garage Dallas says; "Git cha some of that!!"
