Car wash soap Poor Boy's car shampoo
clay bar kit Wolfgang clay lube and clay bar
car polish For which job? there are many different grades. Are you correcting paint or just polishing for more shine?
car wax skip that, go with sealant
polish pad Lake county
microfiber polish towel Cobra
microfiber drying towel Cobra
Wheel cleaner Poor Boy's ph balanced wheel cleaner. Some good teflon brushes will go well with that.
window cleaner Stoner's glass cleaner
Quick detailer Meguiar's
quick wax Go with Rejex sealant instead

You'll also need a 5 gallon wash bucket with grit guard and a good quality wash mitt. A pressure washer will serve you well too. (1600 psi max, electric one from Home Depot or Lowe's)

For drying get a California jelly blade and a leaf blower.

Thanks.
Why sealant over wax?
For car polish, it'd be for a scratch on door panel, correcting paint or spots that won't go away after clay bar on the hood and more shine.

I had been using Rejex for years, and it is excellent! Now I use Black Fire Crystal Seal. Hard to believe, wipe it on, and walk away. No wiping off, or buffing. My shoulders love it!

Provides better protection against all the elements that may attack your paint (bird poop, sap, pollen, tar and dirt)

Lasts much longer, provides good shine.

I don't know if these are the best, but these are my current favorites

Car wash soap - Gyeon Bathe+
clay bar kit - I've always been happy with mothers clay bar kits
car polish - Meguiars M205 will work in most applications
car wax - Pinnacle Souveran was always good to me (I haven't used it in many years for the same reason 2URGSE mentioned)
polish pad - I use Buff and shine microfiber pads
microfiber polish towel - Gyeon Polishing towels
microfiber drying towel - Griot's PFM towel (get the largest one)
Wheel cleaner - Sonax Full Effect or P21S gel
window cleaner - Stoners Invisible glass
Quick detailer - Sonax Brilliant shine detailer
quick wax/spray sealants - Gyeon Cure

Lots to choose from... Too many to list, to be honest. Autoality and Detailer's Domain are used by many of my professional detailing friends. For quality microfiber towels, I'd recommend purchasing in bulk from Autoality or TowelPros. I've listed some good brands to sort through below.

-: Sonax (Their Wheel Cleaner is A1 and Polymer Net Shield is one of the best sealants i've ever used as well)
-: Optimum (Optimum No Rinse is a great alternative to traditional washing, grab their big red sponge, 2 5 gallon buckets + 2 grit guards and you're golden. Not to mention it can be used as a QD/Clay Lube as well)
-: 3D Car Care (great for degreasers/interior cleaning products and many others)
-: HD Products (I use these products for my polishes/compounds. Get HD Polish/Cut/Speed and you're in solid shape)
-: 1Z Einszett (great interior cleaning products)
-: Nanoskin Towels (The better alternative, IMO, to Clay Bar - much quicker, cleaner and you gain the same results)

To be honest, those are all the products I use above for a full detail. Minus the additional applicator pads, microfibers, and buffer. Have fun!

microfiber drying towel - I forgot
Wheel cleaner - Meguiars Dubs
window cleaner - Meguiars Perfect Clarity (New favorite.. replaced Stoners)
Quick detailer - ONR mixture

What about using both sealant and wax?

You can apply a wax over a sealant. It should add additional shine and maybe some additional protection, but the wax's protection won't last as long as a sealant's protection.
